Yeah, it really sucks that they did that, but they must've had their reasons, and did you hear that noise at 1:49, that didn't sound good, also the fan is really loud as well, otherwise it's still the great elevator we all know and love.
Huh… at least the elevator remained the same aside from the glass now being covered and the couch being taken down. My guess is, the main elevators at the Hotel Collee are still keycarded after 15 years now even back when it was called the W Hotel Buckhead Atlanta, so I can see why you didn’t film them.
I hate it when buildings cover up the glass on glass elevators. But it is what it is.

it is much quieter now. Covering up the glass. that was tacky..
Not only tacky, but it was also stupid
This elevator went from incredibly epic to meh in not too much time.
what have been people thinkng in this moden year? covering up glass views? WHY?
My guess is, because the glass can be a bit vandalized over time. Or did they put the stickers there for no reason?
Ok, whose stupid idea was it to cover the glass?!
Roses are red…violets are blue…..let’s take out the couch and make the elevator dark
😂

That's such a disappointment what they did to that....
This elevator used to be epic and low on oil now is max on oil used to be glass
It was slightly low at the time of filming.
This thing has been broken since July.. apparently people get stuck in it all the time and it is very unreliable
They should gut the shaft, build a rooftop machine room, and convert it to traction the way it should be.
@@msj191961 Or use a Kone MRL machine as those are now advanced to where this could be MRL
@@msj191961only way to do that would be to make it MRL, the shaft is separate and self-supported so it can't handle the weight of a traction machine
plus that could cause a collapse (most likely straight down)
