In my 20s and just started learning last year. The way Chuck explains things and the enthusiasm has while teaching is just amazing. Learned so much from you Chuck, always enjoy watching and rewatching your videos
Amazing timing on this video. I’ve been slowly assembling tools and materials and putting together a lesson plan to teach a leather crafting class at my local library.
My first class was 24 cub scouts (8 - 10 year olds). I pre cut and punched the leather and got them to make a simple pouch. Cost was 48 needles a roll of thread and a packet of plasters for all of the pricked fingers. My next was explorer scouts (14 - 18 year olds). This was over a week on a camp where we made a more involved 2 pocket belt pouch. Again I pre cut the leather but using pricking irons and an awl was up to them. I bought six awls as classes were groups of six and only one survived the week but by the end of camp we had 30 belt pouches that I think looked great.
What would be a good way to make some hand to go over crutches handles out of leather I'm on crutches and tend to have a problem with making it where the regular handles won't rub my hands from time to time with the way they are making the handles nowadays it's wearing them out so I'm thinking of making some covers to go over my crotch handles out of heavy duty tool leather anyone with some experience in leather crafting please answer

Yet another helpful episode of The Leather Element. Thank you!
Thanks for doing the thinking Chuck!😊 You've provided a great place to start when considering a teaching project.

Thanks Chuck, I’ve been asked to teach a class and this is great information
One note: Also invest Time. I took a class and felt the instructor was rushing rushing rushing. I learned more from Chuck than that person.
Love leather, love you dear brother
Very very good 💯😊
and a very very good place to go and get all you need 😊😊
