Just Practice 1000 times atleast , then you can able to shift properly, i did every day just focused on basics chords and now i am able to shift properly in 2 month. So just practice daily , don't focus on strumming pattern first. Just do downstroke and change chords. may be it will help you

I can play chords properly but it takes a lot of time to shift from 1 chord to another
