I worked at a stationery store in the late 80's// I got bit by the stationery bug and currently have over 7 staplers and at least 2 staple guns. all kinds of old stuff/ we used to describe those acco holders w/ bendable legs so handy/love what you did here... I just can't wait to move all my crafting stuff to a small cottage in the country where I can craft till I'm 93 then it might be safe to travel again .... (My Dads pal was a wood working crafter who left me with his telephone box of stuff if you were a spy in the 60's the box of stuff would have been a treasure) I love your inspiration you leave with Me thank You (I have five sisters who think I make junk)seeing your stuff is so warm to my heart; I love it all... currently I'm making a hollowed guitar into a side wall hanging with tiny jades & 2 candles inside // I relate TOO MUCH stuff since I retired I have made a ton of things I never had the chance to do/. realtor says can we show your house. Not if you want to sell it ha ha too much stuff and the craft room rule always was it's the only room in the house that gets to be messy bits of leather, rubber, zippers, linen material, 5 different kinds of Mod podge , wood glue, rock hard filler, did I say staples/ buckets: metal, plastic, ice buckets, boxes of twigs in 4 different sizes... Realtor can I show your house hah ahaha haha aha haha ahem / are you taking it all with you or to the dump?? I'm taking it all with Me even the 29 year old barrels falling apart in the back yard
Thank you Michelle for the beautiful content you create for us. I like you am a multi crafter. I really enjoy a treasure hunt at the thrift shop, flea market, or yard sale as well, and my family cringes when I say I'm heading out to find goodies. There are so many people out there with no imagination and just can't see what we see when we look at their "junk." I have bins and totes of pieces ready to be used and totes full of finished ephemera. I don't normally sell my stuff, but give it to people for fundraisers or just as gifts. I once had a friend tell me that I had too much "junk" then I created her daughter a wedding album with some of my "junk"! My friend was in tears when I showed it to her. She said I would never look at you junk the same way. If you can make something like that out of what you did, it clearly isn't junk. So even though there are people that see junk, I guess those of us who see something else save a bit of someone unwanted waste from the landfill. Thanks again for the inspiration and for being the wonderfully creative you that you are, even if you aren't organized. Create brains font always think that way 😂
I do all the same as you and live in chaos. Every now and then, l try to clean up. I have a cold studio, a junk room and clutter around my seat as l work everywhere. I can’t stop. I love it.🤣
If you punch some fine sand paper, will help sharpen your punch. I about fell out of my chair when you describe having so much stuff all over the place. I so Identify with you. I do lots of Arts and Crafts too and at 70 years of age, I still find stuff "I need!". LOL. Keep doing what you are doing, you are not alone.!
"START THE CAR", I nearly spit my coffee! I remember the commercial and yes you did hit the mother load with the lovely Bible. The little books are terrific and another great idea for storing small ephemera. I so enjoy your humor and your generosity of sharing your amazing art talent with all of us. And good luck with the organizing. I spend more time organizing my room than I do creating in it. I think I need a 12 step program to stop acquiring "thrift shop finds."
I think we have the same issues....many talents so lot's of different types of storage needed. I am still figuring out the best plan for my crafts, but mostly I use the cubby shelves with pink cloth boxes. They hold most papers, scraps, fabrics, ephemera. I keep different types of ephemera in different clear plastic file pockets and keep in the bought/printed ephemera box; paper scraps of different colours and sizes in plastic file pockets in the paper scraps box and so on. Coffee dyed paper has the same treatment and other food dyed papers, all kept in the dyed paper box. I also use small boxes in the cloth boxes for stamps, tickets, etc and zip lock bags for fabric and fabric scraps, ribbons, laces, threads, etc. kept in cloth boxes. I keep stickers, rubons and other things in a display folder, dyes in a folder and stamps and stamp pads in my desk drawers. I haven't got a system for made ephemera yet, mainly because I use it as soon as I make it, but I think a sectional box kept on a shelf and brought to my desk when creating journal pages is probably the way I would go. Then I paint, sew, weave with raffia and real grasses, eco dye fabric, embroider, crochet and have recently started Diamond Art pictures and starting to create my own designs. Paints, brushes, etc are kept in a wheeled 3 tier cart as are my dyes and things needed for it. Fabrics are kept in tubs on another wheeled cart and all sewing notions in my sewing cabinet. Raffia is kept in tubs and drying grasses on shelves. Embroidery is kept in a cloth box, crochet in a basket beside my TV chair and diamond art will be kept in a large display folder as well as a cloth box to hold the pens, colours and accessories. Tools for each specific craft/art will soon be kept on a pegboard system. I'm moving house this coming week. I love these little booklets of yours. I have gleaned a lot of ideas from this video. Thanks for sharing.
I store my scaps in a silveware drawer organizer. I also use those Dollar Tree three compartment organizers. My husband was cleaning out his shop and throwing away those plastic drawers that go in those nut and bolt containers. I grabbed those so quick. The make great organizers for small ephemera. I put them in a drawer and stash a lot of my finished ephemera in them.
I saw your little cards with the men on them and it reminded me of the game they're from Authors. Its like Crazy Eights or Fish. You make matches.. Have a great day.
You could probably bundle up your handmade ephemera into packages and sell them to other junk journalers? You have enough for multiple junk journals. I really appreciate your quickie sketches and the fact that you make your own stuff, btw - I get turned off when journalers use all expensive, store-bought stuff.
My husband says I store my scraps and craft items in bags, boxes, tubs, pool table, book shelves, several buildings, house and etc…….. as you can tell, I’m a collector of all things and a hoarder. I quit teaching Special Education to open an antique shop and go on the road to sell them along with my handmade junk jewelry and other items. The pandemic ,we shall not name , put an end to that. I enjoyed being home and being able to experiment with different mediums. UA-cam became my obsession. I’m also ADHD so organization is impossible for me. I’ve even paid my OCD friend to organize me and I destroy it all within 5 minutes of creating. I create best in chaos. As Tim Holtz says, You do you so don’t fight the chaos..❤❤❤❤I love the treasure hunt of all things old, rusty and crusty. I say that I have an affliction not an addiction.
Such a cute little boy. Being in a wheelchair I don't get to Thrift stores hardly ever anymore. But I could make those little books and I would put twine or Ribbon in the whole entire it so it could be taken apart easily. Thank you for all your great ideas. And by the way your art way work it's just divine
Love the mini's they're so cool. I'm wondering of the extra bits from using hanging folders for folios could be used, that metal piece used to hand folders. It wouldn't have the nice pointy ends (though it may be cut-able) 🤔 I'm gonna' have to take one apart and see how flexible they are and if they just might work. I've been holding them for a reeeeally L O N G long time, I've watched three videos this morning and everyone has said the same thing, "I've tooooo much stuff..." clearly a pattern. I too, am in the same seems-like-it's-sinking-from-overfill boat, lol Great idea to pre-stamp things. Usually when I get my stamps out I stamp a load of tissue and napkins (white and craft colored) those come in really handy.
Wow I love the idea of one of these for quotes or stamped images! 😮 And I would perforate where you scored it so I could rip them out to use! Thank you so much for sharing this fabulous idea! You do so many wonderful crafts it would be hard for anyone to stay organized, slow down and just enjoy your journey 😊
Thank you so much for sharing, these are just amazing, love going to the charity shop and finding goodies! Love these, great way to make ephemera and have them all together, ready for use! Take care and have an amazing weekend x
Wow these came out amazing. I really love your videos. These are just so stinking cute. You have my color range. My gf in my stamp group was having cups made for us for Christmas , which I didn’t know at the time and asked me what my favorite color was and I’ve never really had a favorite color not even as a kid, so I told her brown I love all shades of brown and she’s like I don’t think they even make this in brown, still not knowing what she was talking about I said ok purple and mine was actually the nicest color of the eight but depending what it is I like all colors. That book. I was gonna say 1700’s by that print on the first page. That was a definite find and if you decide to use it what a fantastic size and it looked like it was rag, paper or something that is never gonna get brittle. And those slides, I’m gonna have to find some of them. They look awesome and you can use alcohol inks on them. Thanks for sharing🤎🤎🤎
tips.. to separate the little flower sticker use a small piece of tape on each side and pull apart. also, to sharpen old fussy punches punch foil a few times. :-)

A lovely antique Bible! So special! What a find! I love your style and your friendly conversation!
I love thrifting, junking, estate saling, etc. It’s so FUN and I have found some amazing things!
Thanks for sharing your creativity ❤️
I totally agree! And thank you 😊

Thank you. I used to sell my journals but shipping in Canada is just to expensive now. 😊

Thank you 😊. I did score on that bible 😊
Being a fellow Canadian Dollarama is awesome...I just wish there were better thrift stores in my area...hugs from Nova Scotia
Love Nova Scotia. My favourite Canadian city is Halifax. Thanks for watching!
Forgot to add that I use a sewing pin on the front side of the stickers to remove the backing easier. They are definitely frustrating.
💜💜💜
Thanks for all the ideas. How does Your Creative Studio work?
tips.. to separate the little flower sticker use a small piece of tape on each side and pull apart. also, to sharpen old fussy punches punch foil a few times. :-)
Great tip!
What do you do with the projects after you finish them. Sell them, give them away etc. You can end up with a lot of stuff.
Punch aluminum foil in your punch several times. It will help sharpen it.
Fun ideas! I am way better at making messes than organizing!
