About who is the most successful member... A scarcity mentality is revealed when fans have the need to compare and keep score between BTS members. It is a "fear response" like there is not enough space for all of them to shine, and it is probably emotionally taxing for the members to watch the fandom act this way, especially after all these years of sharing the message of love yourself. BTS is a representation of abundance and they are deeply interconnected. When one of them is successful in anyway, it impacts the others in a positive way as well, and elevates the BTS brand. I love this! I also think this philosophy is part of Hybe which is why it's so hurtful what NJ did. BTS provided a foundation so newer groups/artists would NOT have to start from the bottom and worry about bare survival, but rather have time/space to grow and bloom. because their work provide the resources that made hybe possible, they basically are angel investors in the startup groups to support them till they can fly on their own. to turn that generosity back against them is such a terrible betrayal that I think most of us couldn't believe it at first.
This is wonderful insight! The fear response is so ingrained in our reptilian brain that I think that the only way to manage it is by awareness of it, and then rational thought; management. Each BTS member is so very different; it’s one of the reasons they’re outstanding. They complement each other to such a degree that they’re unstoppable…abundant (!) and if there’s ever, amongst any one of them, a microbe of envious comparison to anyone else in the group, they are, individually, so aware that they are sure to squash it immediately, knowing that it’s a false equivalent. They are crazy intelligent; beginning with their emotional intelligence. I’m much older than they are and their level of wisdom at the age they are blows me away. That’s how I first became ARMY: sound (music) and content. I’d like to add that they are also really kind, empathic, sensitive human beings, which very much informs everything they do, and another reason why we love them so much, feel so close to them and are so protective of them. I agree with you, and do not understand why people keep comparing BTS members’ music and success. We all know that some music genres are more popular than others. It was expected that pop albums (Jungkook’s and Jimin’s albums) would be more popular than rap, pop rock or jazz albums. However, popularity is not the only criteria in music. Also, some members recorded albums in a hurry without even planing to do so in the first place they did it just to make Armys happy before enlistment. For example, JK’s album was recorded in a last minute and he did not plan to do so (Suchwita interview). Tae’s album Layover also does not consist of any of his songs. We know that for many years he was preparing to release his mixtape, but never did. He has more than 10 songs now that he wrote and worked on for so long. I think that he is planing to release it after serving. Even the name of his album Layover suggests that it is just a short stop between flights. I love RM for him being true to himself, he has so much talent to create any kind of music, but he chose to be authentic and artistic and deliver an album like a poetry an a music form.

I love Le Ssereafim for their great personalities and hardwork. They are always so positive and their love for each other reminds me a little of our guys. You can really see that they are so supportive of each other. Illit is growing on me and I can't wait to see what they do in the future. Their lore is building well and I just learned they have a webtoon I need to look into. Katseye is one of my daughters favorites (she is 7). The group is not exactly my style, but I can appreciate their enthusiasm and dedication. I don't know much about the boy groups, besides BTS and TXT of course, but Enhypen is another of my daughter's favorites. She loves the vampire aspect. Seventeen has a few songs a like but that's the extent of my knowledge. I wish people wouldn't compare the guys in this manner. They are all doing very well as solo artists and are reaching new and different people everyday. I am so proud of them all!

Thank you for talking about how we can't compare the members' solo projects. I've always seen it as, to them music (and dance) is about their artistry, it's their way of expression and also finding themselves. It's something they love doing. They aren't doing it solely to be "successful" or to sell big numbers. Not to say that they didn't want to become successful, and they already have in any case, but becoming successful was not their only motivation for making music. They love music and it shows, and each of them wanted to express themselves or explore their artistry or ambitions in their own ways in their solo releases. To me, what matters most is that they are doing what makes them happy. Whether it is something more deeply personal and indie like RM's rpwp, or more mainstream pop like JK's Golden, as long as they are happy, I think that's enough. Not every members' solo release is going to appeal to everyone (whether ARMY or general public) in the same way and that's not what they are aiming for anyway. They are at the level where they are free to explore and create art or just do whatever they want, and there's really no comparison for that. It's like comparing apples and oranges, both are fruit but some will like one more than the other, some will like both, some will not like either one. Anyhow, TLDR: The members are doing what makes them happy in their solo releases, not trying to compete, let's just be happy for them.

They aren’t appearing in shows because of mhj connection, they still are in contract with hybe so they are doing the shows following their contract with hybe.they have to completely change their identity, their name, everything if they wanna appear in new shows without hybe connection. Here's the problem. If the girls fail after this she will say 'See they are nothing without me!' But if they succeed she will say 'See I created them!' The worst case scenario for her is if they stay right where they are - no growth no failure. At that point all she can say is she created them but will have nothing to brag about for herself - because ultimately everything has to come back to her.

I really liked your analysis of why we can't really compare the individual projects. The chart and sales performance, TO ME, don't really mean much. I don't think they are the measure of success for these projects. BTS members are not getting dropped from their label bc of low sales or charting. they control their own destinies and don't need to prove that they are "better" or more popular than other acts (much less each other!!) It is fine if some army like to track the sales and charts, and the data is interesting of course, but it makes me sad when I see negativity around numbers start to overshadow the enjoyment of being a fan. The members each had a "blank slate" opportunity to define success for themselves and map their own route to those goals. so exactly, namjoon wanted self expression and to develop artistry. his promo included a club show at the venue he dreamed of playing as a kid, creating an album that pushed artistic boundaries, indie-film level MVs, targeting critical respect rather than sales, and film festivals. jk wanted to be THEE popstar and so he crafted an album of songs that could best showcase his singing/dancing/star quality (notably, per jk, not his own writing), that could succeed in US pop market, pursued radioplay, big cinematic MV, did all the big promo, and then a surprise show at Times Square. jin wanted to express gratitude and love to the fans so he is focusing on lots of army-centered promo, like asking what variety shows we'd like him on, talking up the gratitude/happiness intention in every interview, doing run jin to entertain us all, picking tonight show as the one US show with biggest reach to US army. and so on. if THEY feel that they've accomplished their goals, that's success.

I don't think they have much choice; now that the court has found no mistreatment, they can't leave penalty-free, and they really can't afford to pay 220M+ apiece in contract-penalties. And there's probably a work prohibition... apparently when an artist leaves the company, the company can impose a prohibition period where the idol can't use their old work or produce new work that is similar to their old work for up to three years.

Being honest jimin is my bias along with jin, jimin is the one that drew me to BTS, and I have been following and supporting them anyway I can, of course I could be over sensitive when it comes to jimin. My first reaction to her leaving is feeling relieved that BTS can comeback into the company safely without having to watch their backs too much but I still know things are far from over. I listen to most of the Hybe groups. I prefer male groups to females in the K- Pop genre, I hope I don't offend by saying that. I also listen to other K- Pop groups and solos that aren't Hybe.

If hybe is into ‘pushing’ album sales I’m not seeing it currently with V’s white Christmas release on Dec 6th. I have been trying to preorder the vinyl for the last 2 weeks and they still show it as sold out. Considering it’s a PRE ORDER you’d think they have plenty of time to print more copies to supply the demand. So hybe is not ‘pushing’ album sales even for one of the their biggest artists in hybe.

About who is the most successful member... A scarcity mentality is revealed when fans have the need to compare and keep score between BTS members. It is a "fear response" like there is not enough space for all of them to shine, and it is probably emotionally taxing for the members to watch the fandom act this way, especially after all these years of sharing the message of love yourself. BTS is a representation of abundance and they are deeply interconnected. When one of them is successful in anyway, it impacts the others in a positive way as well, and elevates the BTS brand. I love this! I also think this philosophy is part of Hybe which is why it's so hurtful what NJ did. BTS provided a foundation so newer groups/artists would NOT have to start from the bottom and worry about bare survival, but rather have time/space to grow and bloom. because their work provide the resources that made hybe possible, they basically are angel investors in the startup groups to support them till they can fly on their own. to turn that generosity back against them is such a terrible betrayal that I think most of us couldn't believe it at first.

Each BTS member is so very different; it’s one of the reasons they’re outstanding. They complement each other to such a degree that they’re unstoppable…abundant (!) and if there’s ever, amongst any one of them, a microbe of envious comparison to anyone else in the group, they are, individually, so aware that they are sure to squash it immediately, knowing that it’s a false equivalent. They are crazy intelligent; beginning with their emotional intelligence. I’m much older than they are and their level of wisdom at the age they are blows me away. That’s how I first became ARMY: sound (music) and content.
I’d like to add that they are also really kind, empathic, sensitive human beings, which very much informs everything they do, and another reason why we love them so much, feel so close to them and are so protective of them.

I agree with you, and do not understand why people keep comparing BTS members’ music and success. We all know that some music genres are more popular than others. It was expected that pop albums (Jungkook’s and Jimin’s albums) would be more popular than rap, pop rock or jazz albums. However, popularity is not the only criteria in music. Also, some members recorded albums in a hurry without even planing to do so in the first place they did it just to make Armys happy before enlistment. For example, JK’s album was recorded in a last minute and he did not plan to do so (Suchwita interview). Tae’s album Layover also does not consist of any of his songs. We know that for many years he was preparing to release his mixtape, but never did. He has more than 10 songs now that he wrote and worked on for so long. I think that he is planing to release it after serving. Even the name of his album Layover suggests that it is just a short stop between flights. I love RM for him being true to himself, he has so much talent to create any kind of music, but he chose to be authentic and artistic and deliver an album like a poetry an a music form.

I love Le Ssereafim for their great personalities and hardwork. They are always so positive and their love for each other reminds me a little of our guys. You can really see that they are so supportive of each other. Illit is growing on me and I can't wait to see what they do in the future. Their lore is building well and I just learned they have a webtoon I need to look into. Katseye is one of my daughters favorites (she is 7). The group is not exactly my style, but I can appreciate their enthusiasm and dedication. I don't know much about the boy groups, besides BTS and TXT of course, but Enhypen is another of my daughter's favorites. She loves the vampire aspect. Seventeen has a few songs a like but that's the extent of my knowledge. I wish people wouldn't compare the guys in this manner. They are all doing very well as solo artists and are reaching new and different people everyday. I am so proud of them all!

Thank you for talking about how we can't compare the members' solo projects. I've always seen it as, to them music (and dance) is about their artistry, it's their way of expression and also finding themselves. It's something they love doing. They aren't doing it solely to be "successful" or to sell big numbers. Not to say that they didn't want to become successful, and they already have in any case, but becoming successful was not their only motivation for making music. They love music and it shows, and each of them wanted to express themselves or explore their artistry or ambitions in their own ways in their solo releases. To me, what matters most is that they are doing what makes them happy. Whether it is something more deeply personal and indie like RM's rpwp, or more mainstream pop like JK's Golden, as long as they are happy, I think that's enough. Not every members' solo release is going to appeal to everyone (whether ARMY or general public) in the same way and that's not what they are aiming for anyway. They are at the level where they are free to explore and create art or just do whatever they want, and there's really no comparison for that. It's like comparing apples and oranges, both are fruit but some will like one more than the other, some will like both, some will not like either one. Anyhow, TLDR: The members are doing what makes them happy in their solo releases, not trying to compete, let's just be happy for them.

Here's the problem. If the girls fail after this she will say 'See they are nothing without me!' But if they succeed she will say 'See I created them!' I really liked your analysis of why we can't really compare the individual projects. The chart and sales performance, TO ME, don't really mean much. I don't think they are the measure of success for these projects. BTS members are not getting dropped from their label bc of low sales or charting. they control their own destinies and don't need to prove that they are "better" or more popular than other acts (much less each other!!) It is fine if some army like to track the sales and charts, and the data is interesting of course, but it makes me sad when I see negativity around numbers start to overshadow the enjoyment of being a fan.
The members each had a "blank slate" opportunity to define success for themselves and map their own route to those goals. so exactly, namjoon wanted self expression and to develop artistry. his promo included a club show at the venue he dreamed of playing as a kid, creating an album that pushed artistic boundaries, indie-film level MVs, targeting critical respect rather than sales, and film festivals. jk wanted to be THEE popstar and so he crafted an album of songs that could best showcase his singing/dancing/star quality (notably, per jk, not his own writing), that could succeed in US pop market, pursued radioplay, big cinematic MV, did all the big promo, and then a surprise show at Times Square. jin wanted to express gratitude and love to the fans so he is focusing on lots of army-centered promo, like asking what variety shows we'd like him on, talking up the gratitude/happiness intention in every interview, doing run jin to entertain us all, picking tonight show as the one US show with biggest reach to US army. and so on. if THEY feel that they've accomplished their goals, that's success.

If she/NJ is successfully sued for plagiarism who actually will be held responsible and have to pay? MHJ, the CEO of Ador (whoever is in charge now, or the person at the time of incident/her)? Will HYBE be held responsible for the outside lawsuits?
My first reaction to her leaving is feeling relieved that BTS can comeback into the company safely without having to watch their backs too much but I still know things are far from over. I doubt that NJ will stay in Hybe and I think that’s why she unfollowed them because after they leave she will rebrand them.
Maybe Hybe just keeps them, just to block her 🐍 from capitalising on their success.

I think she could have rage quit because Bang PD won an award. She seems fixated on him. But I think now maybe rather than her giving up on old pants, they're going to be terminating their contracts on the 25th which I think is their deadline. If hybe is into ‘pushing’ album sales I’m not seeing it currently with V’s white Christmas release on Dec 6th. I have been trying to preorder the vinyl for the last 2 weeks and they still show it as sold out. Considering it’s a PRE ORDER you’d think they have plenty of time to print more copies to supply the demand. So hybe is not ‘pushing’ album sales even for one of the their biggest artists in hybe.

Hybe would manage the distributions in Asia so the distribution is not managed by the bing crosby estate.

The bing Crosby estate is not managing the distribution, they wouldn’t have the distribution network to do this. the launch announcement came from interscope with a link to their website and nowhere else. It is not on the bing crosby estate as well but they are out of stock because the distributor determines the numbers sold.

i almost always watch your videos every time it comes out or if ever you are doing a live because i lke watching them and i agree to what you are saying. since i am subscribed to your channel, i always get a notification when your videos will premier. i just noticed that everytime i receive a notification on bangtan tv for "run jin", i also receive a notification from your channel for the same time as run jin will be aired. i said, maybe it is just a conicidence. but then, today you started your "live" the same time as Jin is guesting on the tonight show so i can't help but think, are you competing with Jin? you always say to support all members of bts but it feels like you are stealing their thunder. i understand that you are not asking us to watch you and it is our prerogative if we want to watch your videos or not. but most, if not all of your viewers are armys. it's just that i think and feel (or maybe it's just me) one way of supporting bts members is to watch the shows they are guesting during the live telecast because whether we like it or not, a few haters will check how many viewers were watching during the live and will begin comparing it to whoever they want to compare him with. during the commercial break, i checked how many viewers you have and there are at least 700 viewers who were watching your live. i was just hoping that at least 1/2 of them are multi tasking and watching Jin as well.
