A few years ago in nz there was a new guy on a trawler who couldn't handle. He told them his father died. They sailed back in to drop him off. Gave him all the help and time off he needed. Then two weeks later the company dropped a basket of groceries to his house.. and his father answered the door.... lol
He prob said it was a miracle
To people curious, he claimed to have served 10 years in the Marine Corps and to have received 2 purple hearts, a bronze star, and a silver star. He reported this to an Alabama court and the court gave him a reduced sentence for a firearm charge. (He wasn't allowed to have one since he was previously convicted of assault and battery, which is a felony in Alabama.) He got 5 years probation and 6 months home confinement. (I'm assuming this is the firearms charge they were talking about on the show.)
This probation was revoked after he got arrested for another battery and the court found he "had provided untruthful information concerning his education and military service at the original sentencing hearing." He got 57 months imprisonment and another 12 of supervised release.
So yeah, it seems pretty clear that he lied about his military history (or HIGHLY exaggerated) to get a reduced jail sentence. Honestly, why do all the stolen valor idiots pretend to have a million awards/medals? Like B R U H.
What does that have to do with this?
@@pmpy_4068 he’s referring to the part with the warrant out for him I believe
@@pmpy_4068 all those charges are the reason the greenhorn is trying to get off the boat he claimed he had to be in court or go to jail for something and needed off the boat ASAP but because he had been such an inconvenience, the Captain refused to take him back until the trip was over
If you're gonna pretend then at least pretend that you were just a normal grunt. Don't go telling people that you were John Rambo lmfao.
Though I only watched 8 minutes of this, I knew there was something fishy about his claim to be a marine.
Every Marine I have met would Never Quit, or whine about working.
after watching this one, i can say i wouldn't mind working for bill at all. Dude had a good man behind his back and threw it away like a idiot.
@SMELLY CRANE only if you start up with him.
He was my favorite captain too, also the time bandit guy that took over after sig left.
Prolly on drugs
He’s a good guy until it comes to taking any self responsibility. Guy has fallen asleep twice at the wheel and always blamed someone else.
I'm going to walk up to the Captain and tell him what's up 😂
Proceeds to argue like a child and appeared to have been close to tears before storming off...he showed Bill
If only we could post memes. Insert Django dicapprio laugh meme.
wild bill is my favorite. He cares about his crew and He expects nothing but the best from them.🚢
That's how it should be.
That's how it should be.
He's a real straight shooter. I like that.
Just came tomcomment that bill is just a bully boy then saw this lol
And he has good hair.
If you tell someone you want to work, honor your word and get it on!
He just stands there in the wheelhouse with a stupid grin the whole time
Exactly!! After begging, begging wild bill to get on the boat saying he was a marine which he lied about, and then that worthless piece of crap was ready to quit the second day of fishing….
Especially if my pay was 6000 dollars
That crew member is dopesick
If Kelly fell over board I imagine that he would make that “ ploooop “ sound on impact with the water ! 😂
😂🤣
😂THIS COMMENT!!!😂
Claims to be a badass commercial fisherman except for the time he has to be a commercial fisherman.
Bro $6000 for a couple days more work and this guy is complaining....He aint no marine.
Right,I would stay out there forever..and I thought the oilfield was good money
This is all fake, crew members are lucky to make 5k on an entire trip, TV doesn't tell you the reality of Alaska crabbin'
He got the backbone of a rubber eel👍🏻
None of them are.
Some might be "MARINERS".
@@acb9896 he said he was a “badass marine” thou
The second he said he had to go home and paused. I knew 100% had to go to court.
I'd like to see his military credentials because I've never seen many marines sacrifice their team for their own selfish reasons.
I have 😂
We are still talking about the same Marines that actively recruited anyone with a lukewarm IQ and only a few felonies right?
I've worked with marines. Some are good some are bad. No different than anyone else.
Those who put soldiers on a pedestal have clearly not met a lot of em
Especially a marine who thinks that THIS is the worse thing thag has ever happened to him... did he even do physical? (PT) 🤣🤣🤣
I was a carpenter for a long while. Met a lot of marines. Never once did I see any of them fold like that guy. They were some gritty fellas.
Marines have changed since you last met them.
He lied about his service. He claimed 10 years in the Corps, two purple hearts, a silver star, and a bronze star. But his arrest for Domestic Battery was in 2003, which would only be two years after the GWOT started. Doesn't add up at all.
Me in wild bills shoes: "Turn the cameras off. He's catching hands"
Bill has gone through so much adversity & loss!! They don't make guys like him anymore!
You can tell exactly what his time in the military was like just from his attitude. Guys like this are a dime a dozen...
Spoiled Children of entitlement who tell you they are sooooo smart but when put to the test, Nah! 🪖🏆🎖🏅🥇
Theyre getting cheaper every year.
I showed my grandpoppy this comment and he said in his day a dime was worth something and then he danced
For real he danced g.
He started remembering a song that cost him a dime to play (when i dont know) then started grooving and humming.
He joined the marines but that certainly doesn't mean they accepted him. He probably flunked out of boot camp after 2 days and they just discharged him. He's a loser.
@darklordojeda You do realize you don't just flunk out of Bootcamp right? It's not college lol it takes more effort to get an entry level separation in Bootcamp or MCT then it does to graduate. You probably never even served.
Captain is right and gave him great advice
Wild Bill has amazing hair.
He's majestic.
I second that emotion....
@@zoebiboei216 motion*
@@skylarballew4119 motion is when u 💩..... The song is second that emotion!!!
It's shampoo commercial level and he's out there in the sea air all the time! I went bald at 25, you just can't beat genetics
Captain Wild Bill seems to always get greenhorns who want to cause problems or don't want to work. He seems like a stand up guy who helps his workers with money when it isn't even fishing season.
dude its all fake they just create this drama to make it interesting to watch or no one would watch this show.
@@bobray7790 you are probably right but I find it entertaining and I am sure that there are parts of the show that are real but the big dramatic stuff is staged. Most of the "reality" shows are the same way
They do ham it up but wild bill is infact genuine. People have met him many times before and he was always cool.
Well what does that tell you?these jobs should be highlly sought but they are not...why is that?
@@bobray7790 This was not fake, his charges were real and verified. Drug abuse and crime are EXTREMELY common among fishermen.
dude is as hard as a 200 degree marshmallow.
My man thought we wasn't gonna work and still get paid. Lol
Bill is big, strong and has a temper. Probably not a man you want to run up on. They say he used to clear out bars in Dutch Harbor; dudes saw him walking in and they walked out
He only has a temper if you act afool or start up with him.
Calmdown.
My Uncle Art Westman was like that. One day two teenage ninjas tried to rob him. They regretted their decision when he knocked one of them out and sent the other one running. 🤑😵💫😵
As told by the other fishermen Johnathan, Sig etc
Cringe
Bill should have trolled him and been like “I guess this means you won’t be back next year?”
Kelly's parents must be so proud, provided he doesn't live with them anymore.
Stern, tough but fair. That's a leader.
No way he was a marine, that’s not how a marine thinks
He probably was medically discharged 😂
lol there are dirtbag Marines too, quit acting like that title makes you a stellar human being
There's lazy, whining marines too.
No Marine would wear earrings like his.
Well, Kelly signed on for the cruise. You want to get paid, well Sparky, there's the work you agreed to do. And nobody cares about how tired you are.
No one will EVA work as hard as the late Nick Mcglashan...... RIP handsome!!
he was a dopehead and an addict.
@@slappymcgillicuddy7532 stil a fkin hard worker! Judge much
Some people take half of there wasted life to figure out what commitment means dedication. Handwork and what it really is . Loyalty is a hard attribute to find in people now in days . Only thinking and care about themselves.
Loyalty is great but respect is a huge factor. Too many work places are filled with people who work hard to be liked when they should work hard and command respect from coworkers.
Half of THEIR life, not THERE
Loyalty has to go both ways.
I had to give up fishing w my Captain and I felt like I failed him as a deck hand I hit a low feeling..
This captain is hilarious... I remember this episode where a guy on the boat fell asleep at the wheelhouse on nightwatch and slept walked into the captain's cabin ! 🤣
Yep😂all fired up and angry
He went in there to cuddle up with Wild Bill
Called his bluff........way to go, Bill!
As the son of a Marine and being from Alabama I'm embarrassed by that lazy pos. I went in 2000 kings as a greenhorn and was good enough I was asked to go back and I did. I watched Nick grow up into a man. RIP Nick Mcglashin. My captains son.
He’s not a marine he’s a fraud.
Did he say 6k for two days worth of work.sign me up
What happened to him?
@@yes.2144 Nick died from an overdose in Tennessee.
@@stevemacdaddy9909 Sh!t…RIP…
He's telling the truth.
He's the badest, assiest, marine I've ever seen.
Nope… he was arrested for stolen valor: he faked his record
He never was a Marine. He was in the Navy for less than two years. Got a bad conduct discharge(basically the Navy booted him out) From there he had been arrested multiple times. Last I heard he was once again arrested for being a stalker in Florida in 2019.
UA-cam decided to make me a fan of this show recently. And it worked.
Patient man ,I would work for him.
Worst experience of his life? Mustve been admin in the Marines. Lol
He look like they POG type to get admin seped 1 year in
He lied about his service. He claimed 10 years in the Corps, two purple hearts, a silver star, and a bronze star. But his arrest for Domestic Battery was in 2003, which would only be two years after the GWOT started. Doesn't add up at all.
A real Marine don't quit
Imagine a sheriff showing up on a boat...YEAH WE GOTTA HAVE KELLY RIGHT NOW, DONT TRY TO RUN.....
Kelly could stay out there forever
I love wild bill. You can’t let people walk over you or you won’t last. He is justified.
Bills a good dude I met him at the Mercedes dealership
Hard to believe Kelly was a Marine, Marines dont quit
He didn’t quit. Didn’t you see the second half? He went back out on deck
haha, quit acting like all Marines are superstars
Marines Quit all the time.
There’s no way that loser was ever a marine- in his dreams maybe.
One more day for a couple grand in your pocket. Hell ya let’s do it
Wild bill is my fav, i feel id look at him like a father figure, id love to meet this man
They're both right in there own way . He doesn't like it and Bill can't go back 😎
Come on you're done when the fishing is done. Any one who signs on to crew a fishing boat knows that. If he hadn't maybe lied about some things he wouldn't have been allowed to go and he wouldn't have had to worry about being back by a certain time. That's on him not the Captain.
How is being a lazy, immature, good for nothing, being right? The only one who is right is Bill.
Then he should have given up his paycheck. 6k per deck hand and idk how much bill makes to cut it short. The crew is there to make money and will be out there as long as there money to be made.
No, they are not both right.... one is a man of integrity with a work ethic and one is a fake wanna be Marine that was never in the Marines and a coward lazy POS that lied to the captain about having no legal issues!
When kelly said find me a ride to the dock wild bill almost slipped up he started with get in a survival suit he didnt finish because he probably could have gotten sued by kelly he wanted to say get in a survival suit jump overboard and ill call the coast guard to pick you up 😂😂😂even though he was joking he could have been in trouble if he said that and kelly got hurt trying to do something stupid to get off the boat!!
Hes the captain what he says goes its his boat..what dont ppl get about this...wild bill seems like a great dude
Six grand in six days?! What a lazy piece of garbage, I'd raise my hand to work those days for him!
Dude is a badass, just not up in Alaska 🤣4:23
I caught that too and just went🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ lol
I'd be interested in knowing if he was ever actually a Marine?! Because I'm very familiar with Marines and their mindset and he doesn't seem to have it, and it's not something you just lose 😑😒
It's real hard to imagine he was in any branch at all much less USMC lol. If he was then it was a longgg time ago
Drugs might change that idk not a marine or drug user
Not a marine . Hell no
We’re you a marine ? If not just pipe down
@Max Powerx666H Thank you for your service 🙏 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Kelly should've had his own Spin-Off. 😂
Seen this before a lot on boats in Alaska. At least man up and finish the trip strong.
He isn't a Marine. I know him personally. He was in the Navy actually
How dumb do you got to be to risk $6k for 2 more days of work cause you’d rather be arrested for a charge in another state…🤔😆
Right
Wild Bill is one scary dude when he’s angry
Omg that guy is a marine. Im so sorry he said that.
Never mess with bill wickqrousky
Well, I can see both sides. On one hand, he made a commitment that he needs to honor. On the other hand, I feel for him, because I know what it's like to be stuck in a situation that is a nightmare for you.
"I'm tired"
Dude, EVERYONE is tired. Refusing to work just because you're tired is no excuse.
I pray for an opportunity like that! I work my Azz off and put up with a whole heck of alot more bs and don't make nothing close to that money. Man an opportunity wasted
damn that dudes got nothing to bring to the table
Dude shanghied himself. Another fool who can't take responsibility for his actions and blames the world.
Wow what a little girl
Bill always hires these guys.
$6,000 for a couple days?? How much do these people make from start to finish of trip? Genuinely curious
Up to if not more then 60 g
Have you ever priced crab at a store?
Hard dangerous job comes with big pay. Bad thing about it is if you have a drug problem which this kinda work brings people like that it gives a lot of money to blow on them.
Good haul can get you $80.000 a great one $100.000 easy
They can earn big money if they catch and nothing if they dont
6 grand for 2 days work is correct..faking hell I would be running down there but I would wear body armour and a head shield cos all that swinging about is crazy
The only question I care about is, do these captains show their numbers to the crew? That tells you everything you need to know about his character.
They know what the quota is prior to going out. The count is kept in a book by the Captain's chair. Most of the crew and yes, greenhorns too, will take turns on watch while everyone gets rack time in. They can all see the numbers and at offload they get the weight. Most regular crew are full share with greenhorns at 1/2 share. They can do the math.
Crew don't need to see anything, just keep pushing forward until the work is done
@@davidlinehat4657 they do when it comes time to pay, unless you're a sleazy jew skimming shares...
Con scam circumvent and bull crap. That's all he knows. Believe me I had a guy do that to me and it they still promoted them when I was in the Navy. The problem I had my senior chief was his friend.
Honestly, Kelly got a super light hazing. Normally they're brutal on some of those greenhorns. Shame the "Badass Fisherman" couldn't make the cut.
Kelly ain't no Marine. A real Marine has honour and integrity. He whines too much. Weak. Pathetic.
He wouldn’t stand a chance against my cousin Andy 🤣🤣
95% of Marines wouldn't be able to do that job. Not sure why people act like Marines are supermen.
@@Sled_addicts69 yes he would
@@paleo704 lmao😂
You probably never even served, and learn how to spell.
people praising bill haven't watched a ton of deadliest catch i see.
This kind of job you need to make sure you want to do it cause once your out there its a done deal there is no way for them to get you back without having to call a dingi or a smaller ship thats heading back your way. Its his fault im sure they told him he would be out for months at a time.
Dude thinks he’s in a Uber
What happened to Bills boat Summer Bay????
Dude who refuses to work joins a fishing boat to do the toughest hardest working job....😅
Bill has the most glorious hair
“I gotta be at Dutch harbor tomorrow morning cuz im a POS” 😂
Yo how do I hop on one of these?!
He ain’t worried about court homie ran out of dope and was really considering putting on the survival suit and swimming to shore lol
That isn't a Marine. Wish we could revoke it.
I like wild Bill because he just gives it to your straight
He know damn well he wasn't a marine with that attitude
Not to be egotistical but I feel I'd be appreciated on that boat more than I would anywhere I've worked. I'd love to work on deck with equal effort. Nowadays everyone is so damn lazy it sickens me
I see wild bill at my boat club in south Carolina with his cougar girlfriend lol he walked by and I yelled his name and he wasn't pleased lol
LooooooooooooooooooooooL
While your on his boat, the captain is your God! You do as your told when your told while keeping your mouth shut!
6 grand for two days?! LMAO I'd be on that deck faster then you could say "greenhorn, get your @$$ over here!"
NO marine would never not get out bed, or need to be asked more then once lol
He rain out of dope and got dope sick dude was trying everything to get him to turn the boat around
I'm not a fisherman, but when the captain says to suck it up and deal with your own crap on his boat, you don't get to make demands. Do your job until the boat gets back to the dock and feel free to leave then.
6 grand dude? for a few days of work?? bruh...... I want that
I really want to know what kind of commercial fishing he did where someone could call it quits and the boat would stop everything and take them straight back to the dock
Northwest of Dutch harbor ?
That guy gave up between his ears. Never do that. Never leave anyone hanging out there it appears to be waybtoo dangerous
A couple more days of work for 6,000 dollars extra or the same amount of time, if not more, sitting in bed, but he misses out on 6k. What a dope
It’s a lot more than that, they have to finish the season. Otherwise they forfeit over half the pay.
I commend you Bill.
Several comments below there is a person who wrote the real history of this "marine". Just another (of many many) examples of how when someone tries to tell you how much of something they are it really is pretty much the opposite. Actions speak much louder...
Outfished the ocean I see 😂 no more crab
Rip Nick G
@G P yes I know. Rest in peace Nick!!!!
@G P yup, a druggie
Nick was a badass fisherman.
Might have been in the Marines, but he's no Marine. Marines don't quit. Is that what you told your drill instructor in boot camp?
Those guys who complain and cry the whole time. Just make it worse for the men who bare it and say nothing.
Bill should've thrown him overboard
