Excellent video! I just purchased two Rapido FL9 locomotives, one in the New Haven paint scheme and one in the Metro North paint Scheme. I just got finished uploading a new video of the New Haven FL9 in operation.
Way to go Jason! What a stunning beauty! I remember the prototypes. Rick, so good seeing you here. Your layout is the perfect showcase for this classic. Please post this on the Atlas Rescue forum. I'm looking forward to getting my late 1960s version. Hey, what's with the EP5 Jet?! Jason....are you giving us a hint.....or torturing us with teasing? Thanks for keep us New Haven fans in mind. Hopefully when you see strong FL9 and 8600 sales, you will strongly consider producing an EP5. The NHRTHS, which Rick is a member of, is a high caliber group loaded with accurate resource information. High Greens, guys. A-FP45
HILARIOUS video! XD Just starting a New Haven HO layout myself, already have some of the Rapido Osgood-Bradlee lightweith coaches. The FL9's are going on the "shopping list"! ;)
WOW great job, they look and sound amazing! Any update or more info on when you guys will start producing (CDOT) Connecticut Department of Transportation rebuild FL9s?
Nice "subliminal" EP5 teaser! I reeeealy want an FL9, but my budget limits me. I grew up in the early 2000s, and I heard the faint K5LA from those FL9s from my house. It brings back early memories.
4:36 nice Star Trek outfit. 😂😂
I like the New Haven FL9 Locomotive! It looks so real!

Referencing Star Trek in a Model Train Video. How Interesting.
These engines were running from the 40's into the mid 90's one of the best ever made
We agree 100%.
A few are still running today!
Beautiful layout !!!! That took a lot of skill, planning and dedication !! : )
We've passed your kind words over to Rick. Thanks!

I'm in love with thine catenary.
Not only was it a fantastic review but it was super creative. Being both a train fan and a Trekkie the intro and outro was a nice surprise.
Got my Metro North FL-9 when they first came out! One of my best models!
She looks great.
Absolutely a beautiful layout, perfect catenary. As always, an epic video production...
The Cooperstown and Charlotte Valley just got their FL9 mechanically stable and running.
You guys are absolutely crazy. But you make nice videos and beautiful trains. Plus that is a fabulous layout there, catenary and all.
You're railroad's amazing. So is the FL9 and it's features. Great video. Thanks!

I'd love to hear that Hancock Air Whistle coming out of an MN&S SW-1200!!
What prototype has the number boards on all the time? I owned two prototype fl9’s and the number boards had a switch on the control stand.
Our more recent models have switchable number boards. We had run out of function outputs but we have more now.
