When they were initially released, I never understood why they released a mechanical keyboard at the same time as a silent mouse. I bought both as upgrades to my existing MX Keys and MX Master 3 setup. After a couple of weeks, I went back to the Keys and Master 3. For me, I like a membrane keyboard and a clicky mouse. One note, dongles are better for Mac laptops because you can unlock them (type your password) after reboot with an external keyboard. Otherwise, with built-in Bluetooth, you need to open the lid and use the internal keyboard.
As always appreciate your reviews 🙏. I've snapped up the dark-colored, (not mac) combo for my Mac from Amazon Warehouse Deals. Both are in like-new condition, and with a 30% discount- totaling 129€ mouse + keyboard. I love the Touch ID on my Apple keyboard, but it's not really suitable for long writing. What I miss the most is the backlighting in the night.
I hear you. You can technically used both. Just keep the Mac KB just for the Touch ID :) I know one extra accessory but hey. What Apple should do if they are not going to open Touch ID up is just create a Touch ID specific pad for Mac with out KB, I'll buy that. Or what you can do is use your Apple Watch
will I need 2 bolt dongles connected? 1 for the keyboard AND 1 for the mouse? Obviously with limited ports, 2 dongles connected simultaneously is not ideal. Also, with only USB-C ports on M1 MBP, I will need a converter for this USB-A bolt dongle, correct? Thanks!
An essential question: Does Logitech bundle this mouse and keyboard together, in a single package? If such a "combo" package is available, they would presumably operate off the same "Bolt" dongle, straight out of the box. Also: I am baffled; is there no light-colored extended (105) keyboard?
it doesn't come with dongle here in europe. also would you recommend the mechanical keyboard vs the mini keyboard? I was looking to get keychron k3 v2, but then I saw a bunch of video about the logitech keyboards. I like the typing on my MacBook Pro.
Same in the US, no dongle on the Mac version. I like the mechanical feel, I have used a variation of the mini before, but for me mechanical rules! The issue with Keychron is that there's no macro software like Logi option + that I found works really well for me.
@@ArtIsRight what is that sets apart the mechanical version for you? true, I use logi software and its amazing, but I believe Keychron has sth similar. Also, Keychron has RGB, which is a must on every mechanical keyboard imo.
I never really tried out Keycheron software, but very little of it is mentioned on their website. I choose Logitech more for conformity I supposed, I have been using their products for years now and being able to backup and transfer setting through their Logi option + app is worth it for me.

Nope, each bolt dongle can be paired with up to 6 devices. For MBP yes you will need an adapter.

Don't believe so, any additional device needs to be paired with the Bolt Dongle.
Loving the video!!❤
Thanks.
It is unbelievable that our "French" neighbors has not released a Spanish version. Thanks guys !!!!
🤷🏻♀️
Great review, I ordered mine today with the mouse.
Thank you!

I have not notice much variations and I used it all the time. But I'll look out for that.
