Thanks! Yes, we have a paid membership and usually download the trail we want to hike before we leave the house. If we are just exploring though, we don't download, we just log and and "track", so we can view the trail (like in this video) and make decisions on the fly. Thanks for watching!
As always, great video. I keep thinking we ought to head out to that area... We used to use Map My Walk app for tracking. Now we use Alltrails to plan, navigate and track our hikes. We did pay for a subscriptiion so that we could download trail maps to our phone. It's like carrying a security blanket on the trail. It has been very helpful when trail heads have been difficult to find otherwise. I do miss the challenge in our youth of using paper maps, Ha! Happy hiking.
