Thanks for sharing, I am from the UK, so we tend to use those bags, I did order from Temu,, but I only have enough for two stars, going to order some more I think.😊
You get a big thumbs up from me. We made these when I was in grade school and I am 55 now. You brought back great memories. I am going to teach this to my grandchildren. Thank you for such an easy tutorial. This is amazing! Liked ✔ Commented ✔ Subscribed ✔🔔
Wow thank you so much! This made my day!! 💗 And I love that you’re going to make these with your grandchildren - what fun memories you’re creating with them!
I loved making these! I made several and each time it's a "oooh ahhhh" moment when you open the bags to see the design. One suggestion that I would make is to only use the hot glue when you are stacking the bags together. If you use hot glue to fasten the snowflake together at the end then your stuck having to store a huge snowflake for next year (which would be a huge hassle for me). I hot glued the first snowflake I made and then realized I should have used large paper clips on the back to secure the snowflake shape. I did use paper clips (or small binder clips) on the backside on the other snowflakes I made and it worked perfectly! Now I can just take the paper clips off and fold up the snowflakes to use next year! They will store easily as well.🙂
I like the white ones, also if you have kids they can help you decorate each one with Christmas colors to bring color. I never thought of cutting shapes into them. I like to use spray adhesive and clear glitter all over once it's open and drying. You can be led lights in them too. This year I wanna make a bunch of different ones and use fishing wire to have them hanging from the ceiling!
@@ShesCraftyandSheKnowsIt What fun!!!! Addictive! I made four brown and used 3M stickers to adhere to kitchen wall but will make white snowflakes to suspend from wide doorway for the holidays!
You have the dual temp glue gun, use the lower temperature! Another suggestion would be to put a spine on the two outer bags so you can store them at the end of the season.
Omg,I just had the craziest idea...I wonder if I could try doing this with about 12-20 of the big grocery store paper bags & see if it works(can maybe even use spray paint that is white & metallic or glittery,or use a lg.paint brush & some white paint like even primer w/glitter added, idk). I imagine if it works out alright, the end result would be huge snowflakes w/more room for extra details!?!
These are amazing! Thank you for filming and explaining this so we can all see the steps! Every other video on these has been way too fast. These could have the edges dry brushed with any colour of paint you like. Would be beautiful with a gold or silver dry brush. I like them as is too!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I’m so glad you found my video helpful! 😊 And I love the idea of dry brushing the edges - that would be so pretty!
I haven’t tried it but I don’t see why you couldn’t! I would definitely recommend doing several light coats rather than a heavy coat. That way you don’t run the risk of the paint running, and you also don’t want to saturate the paper bags so much that they get really wet and damaged. But I think several light coats should work just fine.
Would it be better to glue the second lot if bags together, then cut shape and then stick these to the first set of 4 bags. Do not glue last bag, or it won't gold up for next year. Clip it pin together. ❤
Lol,I have the same glue gun & it was in the clearance section at Wal-Mart for $5,got the same paper plates too...Here's a little hint that I'm sure some ppl.will think is stupid 4 me 2 even bother 2 mention but,if u can't get white paper bags,u can paint your bags white b4 u glue them & that creates a neat effect(u prob.won't want to paint the inside of them tho,cuz it's too hard & messy)..
Thank you for doing the video I love these snowflakes and you made it very easy to see how to do it and I appreciate that thank you again.
You’re so welcome! I hope you have a blast making your own. ❤️
Thank you for the clear directions! I am going to try this tonight. Happy holidays!

Such a great crafting project to do with children … thank you for sharing- takes me back to the small paper snowflakes I made as a child ❤
Génial, merci beaucoup et bonnes fêtes de Noël depuis la France.
Walmart has white lunch sacks located in the same section as the brown ones. They are a bit thinner but they work if anyone is looking for white bags.
Great tip! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks
I found my brown bags at $tree

You can also glue ribbon on the inside of the last two bags and this way you can tie them together and then close them to save for next year.

Wow😍😍😍 beautiful
Thanks a lot 😊
L.D.S. , HAS THESE . I DIDN'T KNOW TIL MY NEIGHBOR SHARED THAT TIDBIT WITH ME.
If making these with kids, you can use a glue stick. I did that last year and the stars lasted for months. They never fell apart!
Such a great tip! Thanks for sharing!
😍😍😍
AwEsOmE 👍🏼
How do you attach them to the ceiling?
I don't glue it open. I use paper clips in the back so I can fold it back up to put it away
What kind of glue gun is it? I missed it.
Can you spray paint the snowflakes?

Great explanation...looking to make with my granddaughters at Thanksgiving
Or you could use CHRISTMAS bags.
Glad I found your channel! Yours is the best explanation for making these! I’m making some with my craft girls. Thank you!
😊
Glue sticks work? Hot glue ?? Elmers seen them all. Which is best?
Experiment

hermosos.
How many pcs of paper bags for a one lantern?
Followed directions and some of the points are falling inward ???
Did you use the hot glue all the way up to the ends of the bags?

Should you not glue all the way to the top?
She did a couple with glue all the way tp top
