March you have no idea how many times I have thought about driving from Buffalo and getting some corals from you and just risking the border. I'm not gonna do it but looking at the quality of animals you get, the size of the frags and the huge difference in price makes it almost worth the risk. You do a great job.
Does america have different laws of importing corals and fish? I bring back fish and declare everything and customs never give me a problem. I asked about corals and customs said yes you can bring them back into Canada if it was bought from a store. Hmm...
@@Brad-k From what I understand we cannot bring live animals over the border without proper paperwork. I mean they don't allow fruits and vegetables either.
@@ArrickthaRed yeah maybe March can clear this up. I know I can bring back livestock from the US back to Canada with no permit but then again it's going into my home reefer. I know Canada Customs would look a little squinty-eyed at me if I had a bunch of boxes of coral. Then they would definitely be asking for permits. Like March said that the permits he requires is around 500 us. Shit 20 years ago it wasn't even half of that.
Watching from Southern California, it’s currently 3:20. Time for my afternoon coffee. Start shipping corals to the us! Tridacna clams are the best additions to a tank. I have two small croceas in my nano tank and they’re thriving. Not as hard to keep as they’re made out to be in my experience.
There’s a video out there of a guy from ora who I would trust considering they breed clams and he suggested a freshwater dip for clams to kill parasites such as those snails so they’re definitely alright in freshwater for a short period
I think the black bags are for fish, to stop them seeing each other through bags during transport and when taking out of the box in the store potentially
Black liner is a thicker plastic to add a layer of protection against a potential poke through from whatever's in the bag that may poke a hole through it.
I'm watching from Italy, is so nice for me to take the phone and only listen to what your talking about, you can teach me some new things. Go on, good luck with your shop

Hello from Houston, TX. I am looking to add a clam soon. Working on printing some random flow generators for my new shrimp nano tank. I had a fish that decided they would be a tasty treat, but I got them out before he ate them. So I did what every Reefer would do and bought them their own Fluval EVO 13.5 to be in my office. I have illegally brought back contraband into the US before. I brought my niece and nephew some kinder eggs. Lol! If you’re in the US and want a clam Austin Aqua Farms ships. They have some beautiful clams right now.

Watching from Hungary, this is one of my favourite channels (with the sidetracks :) ), cheers!
I don’t wanna be that “well actually” nerd guy but what he’s breaking by spinning the clam at the beginning is not their foot, that’s just the byssal threads of the clam, they use it to anchor themselves to rocks and other surfaces, if he actually breaks the foot the clam will most certainly die.
FWIW I fresh water dip all my incoming clams. Prophylaxis for pinched mantle and pests. I picked that practice up from a old time reef guy in Michigan.
Pittsburgh, PA love your channel if you ever do another channel you should do more of an adult channel I think you would be even more funny much love ❤️
I feel like a noob 😂 I've never kept a clam in all my years of the hobby, and I never had a clue they had a foot 😑 i literally thought the bottom was just the back of the shell lol makes sense now how they anchor down
Tennessee here. March, you know what's crazy? I just switched out all my Vortech MP40QDs for Nero 7s. I used to have to sync the time daily on Mobius. Now, I NEVER have to sync the time on Mobius with the new Nero. I guess the issues are an Ecotech thing.
Colorado, USA. Thanks for the information and inspiration, as always. I'll eventually actually purchase that ReefCasa Pico that's been sitting in my shopping cart for a week, promise.

That makes a lot of sense. I always thought it was a tougher material so that fish that have sharp fin or that can rip the bag
It’s for the dead fish at my store
