For the ones who gave this a thumbs down you must not realize how much time is spent waiting for something as amazing as seeing these amazing creatures. This is a beautiful owl and thank you for sharing this with all of us
One of the things I've noticed about predators of small mammals is how quickly they think and react. Like a pine martin, this little guy's brain is running on jet fuel, eyes darting, quickly reacting, always moving. If this were a human we'd say he has ADD. Nicely captured.
What an enjoyable watch that video is and well done for the various captures you managed and for putting it all together. ◕‿◕ I'm part way to my own compilation and all I need now is more footage to add to that I have already captured in January. ◕‿◕
I used to see short-eared owls quite regularly about twenty years ago in an area of recently planted forestry, but I haven't seen one for a while. Mind you, I haven't gone out looking for them, so that's probably got something to do with it. Known in Orkney as the catty face.
Brilliant, I'm lucky enough to have seen them in the Lakedistrict, but sadly a much persecuted bird along with the hen harriers by mindless low lives. Great video you're extremely dedicated. Thanks
Hello Wayne, Thank you for sharing, a very nice video, wonderful bird +++ In return ,I'd like to share one of my video on : Gerfaut7 dh a fireworks display on biodiversity , or " la flèche bleue" ( the common kingfisher) Friendships from France Didier

A camera can hurt Owls. The fotographer should have organised this with Elizabeth. It was beautiful but one must be aware that one can create bad.
