Not a good idea buy a 3070, new games are showing that 8 gbs of vram would be a problem in performance, leading to stutters and even crashes, so spend a ton of money to end playing with medium or low graphics and just on 1080, even if you card is capable of more just for the vram its a thing to take in mind
8 gigs is just enough now. But its really not future proof. You can play every game at the highesr setting on 1440p with at least 60fps. In my country the rtx 3070 is the same prife as some of the rx 6900 xt. So i would go with that.

I get what you are saying. GPU discounts are rare. But I did get a 4090 for $1489 the other day, had to be bundled with a 4k monitor though. Which I needed anyway for the 4090. Not a great discount, but better than nothing I guess.
Yeah but you gotta remember just a year from now the 5000 series will be coming out and then the 5000ti series oh wait but then the 6000 series will...
I stopped listening to the "don't buy now" crowd after waiting almost two years. Price only went up in that time. I just grabbed a 4070 Ti Strix ($890) & 13700k ($325), as I see a great chance prices go up more, most certainly if there are further tensions with China and Taiwan and/or the economy sinks further. There's a high chance of at least one of those happening, so I'm okay with "overpaying."
My Nvidia Geforce Gt1030 should be fine still 😅 . . . Right? Also no that wasn't a question, it is fine but doesn't have the power for games I want to play. For example escape from tarkov, or cyberpunk 2077. But games like minecraft are okay but just depends on the mod's I use.
My rx 570 carried me through that storm of gpu shortage until I could get a rx6600 that was very cheap because it was sold in bulk (no packaging). With price and doubling its performance, it was the right move before my third world currency lost more value.
I have a 2080ti and the only card I would upgrade to is the 4070ti. Of course, there is a bump in specs, but the power consumption to spec ratio is the best I have seen between all Nividia and AMD cards. I will wait a few more months to see what prices do. I'm not waiting for the 5000 series because it's supposed to come next year, summer or fall.
It will be better and better. I just bought a full 3070 build for $500, ryzen 3700x, 32gb corsair rgb, cordair AIO, lianli case, all rgb fans, x570 mobo. Full higher end build that would have been very pricey when new. It was definitely a steal of a price when people ask more for a 1080 for 1650 build
The moral of the story? 90% (it would be higher if not for 2 rounds of crypto bubbles) of the time don't buy a new GPU unless you need to. You'll get more upgrade cheaper by doing that and let's face it cutting edge GPUs don't even get leveraged for 2 or 3 years until after they come out, making buying cutting edge a false economy outside of people that need it for professional reasons.
Right now is one of the worst times for buying a GPU period. 4000 is a bust and were gonna see Battlemage sometime next year so while a 3060, 6950XT, and 6800XT are all really good buys on paper you'll probably be able to buy a better card for the same in 12 months. I only think right now is a ok time for new builds. 4070 boom there ya go. Thats about it. Not a lot of good value out there right now. CPUs on the other hand-

So if you are patient the prices WILL HAVE TO drop at least %30. Or they will close their financial year in negative. Don't be the puppet.
True but if you’re one of the people (like me) who sell their old gpu and put that money towards a newer one you will get less money waiting longer
If u dont want to play any AAA games for now u can wait but if u want to gaming as soon as possible should buy now or never because nvidia and amd price of new card will be always be better than old ones even tho 1080 ti is a beast card which i missed 😢
Prices right now are great. Rx 6700 xt if you want solid 1440p performance or Rx 6600 for 1080p. Even Intel arc 750 with the updated drivers is a great performer right now.
But if you want to get nvidia taxed then go on and buy an rtx 4060
We’re still 5-6 months away from purchasing a 50 series card. Where is he getting next month from ?
Or just go team red. They build cards that can go toe to toe with their nvideo counter parts for much cheaper. They just struggle a bit with v-sync which if you’re someone that needs v-sync to enjoy a game, you need to humble yourself anyways
go buy last years model.. back either the 3080-3090 or the 2080ti or 2080 titan rtx.. but if you are looking to get a 4000 series, then hold off till the 5000 series comes out..
They just went up on new years.
If you want a graphics card just go buy it. They aren't dropping.
Remember, many said to wait a little longer in July. We're $200-$250 higher.
NVDA just made 1000% profit on AI cards. They're not going to start pumping out desktop GPUs.
Yeah, but when I get the OVERPRICED vga, somehow the market price dropped faster than I wait it would drop by itself
@@quackatit no it isn't. Last of us takes 10gb vram @1080p ultra
8gb isn't enough anymore
@@n9s3nse10 lmao don't count the last of bugs. Its just a terrible port an even 4090s have problems running it.
@@quackatit I know but I don't think future games will be better right?? It's not a good sign
I just got a Gtx 1060 6g for only 75bucks and it works like new!
Welcome in da club this GPU is completely fine
That’s a good deal
I was gonna build my first PC now ima save some buck, thanks to you.
Nvidia graphics card prices are through the roof but you could get a good deal for an AMD GPU. I built my pc just two days ago.
Asus rx 6600 8gb
Intel i3-12100f (used stock cooler)
Corsair vengeance LPX 2x8 3200mhz
Along with all the other stuff, the total price of the build came to £575 and it runs pretty much every game I throw at it with ease
@@ItzAfjol what are your views on rx 6750xt (gigabyte 3xfan)
@@ItzAfjol why not Ryzen 5 5600?
@@ramonschlittler8403 I would've wanted to, but I was too lazy to save up for another few weeks to get it. I tried making everything as cheap as I possibly could and I'm still pretty happy with the result
Its difrent in every contry. I just bought a rtx 3080 in my contry for just 380$
Upgrade on Black Friday or cyber Monday. Paying retail is a scam nowadays
First time im finding you, great video! Subbed!
Meanwhile I'm here sitting like a duck without a job watching this reel:
No shit, the price goes down for eqch new generation coming out. I'm still waiting on the RTX 90 series to come out so I can get a GTX 960 at dirt cheap price
Nvidia rescale the GPU prices so high, now those computer nerds really think the price now is reasonable.
it's only gonna get more expensive, guys be wanting the performance boost like NVIDIA 30 gpu
Its basically all garbage right now.. wait it out and hope they come up with “sane” pricing
top CPUs are constantly on discount and bundled with motherboards and RAM which are also discounted, saving like $500 in total, GPU are MSRP or higher, no discounts ever.
I get what you are saying. GPU discounts are rare. But I did get a 4090 for $1489 the other day, had to be bundled with a 4k monitor though. Which I needed anyway for the 4090. Not a great discount, but better than nothing I guess.
That fucking puffer fish 😂😂😂
A paid a new evga rtx 3080 600 euros, is it good?
Yeah but you gotta remember just a year from now the 5000 series will be coming out and then the 5000ti series oh wait but then the 6000 series will...
If there is one company that made a lot of money this year its nvidea it really sucks being a gamer
Il say it depends on what tier of GPU you r after
Remember when people selling their 200 series gpu very cheap right before 300ser launch I remember :) .
You also have to remember that at a point the price will stop going down and that continuing to wait could end up being a bit so good choice
Me broke with a 750 ti: i guess im the only one who doesnt have to worry about gpu prices
bruh shit here in europe still cost way more
I stopped listening to the "don't buy now" crowd after waiting almost two years.
Cp77 is temporary, Minecraft is eternal
Will the 40 series drop prices too?
My rx 570 carried me through that storm of gpu shortage until I could get a rx6600 that was very cheap because it was sold in bulk (no packaging). With price and doubling its performance, it was the right move before my third world currency lost more value.
Aaaaaaaand they’re still the same price lol
Funny thing is a 3070 and 4070 only got about $100 in price difference and the 4080 is what’s costs so much.
Damn, and here we are, prices worse than ever 😂
F**k this I’m getting a new pc it’s like every time you upgrade something better for the same price or less releases rip to my 3070
I went and bought one since i wont be upgrading for 5 or more years I'd rather game today than some time in the future
After 1 month: rtx is going to be trash so prices on graphics card go higher
(Prediction)
So is now a good time to buy high end GPU’s?
About to retire my gtx 970 for a strix 1080
dont get a 2060super instead
@@SssNiTroGeN ah no don’t do that. A used 1080 is 150 while a user 2060s is 200 for about the same performance
I got the 4070ti for 799. I'm holding off till the top end of 5000 series drops to below that cuz 799 is still a crazy price.
Don't think they will be dropping all the much considering that 4060 is probably going to be $500-600
Dont go Ngreedia, go AMD then
Oh amazing, cant wait for drops, till then i will stick with my gt730 2gb😀
It will be better and better. I just bought a full 3070 build for $500, ryzen 3700x, 32gb corsair rgb, cordair AIO, lianli case, all rgb fans, x570 mobo. Full higher end build that would have been very pricey when new. It was definitely a steal of a price when people ask more for a 1080 for 1650 build
Can you hook me up on how you got a whole 3070 in your pc build that’s $500 was it second hand market?
CPUs on the other hand-
And now there's the AI GPU shortage
