I love both the Aesthetic dresses! I could just imagine Virginia Woolf and her sister Vanessa Bell wearing these. Love that era. Thank you for sharing!

Oh the beaded overlay on the White Sands gown was totally worth it, it's stunning.

It is all so wonderful. Isn't it funny that whenever you think " Oh, this will be quick and easy," it ends up being neither.

I loved both of the Aesthetic dresses so much. My jaw dropped when I saw your evening gown though, it is so beautiful!!! I’m sorry it was such a pain to make and that it’s so heavy but you’re right, it still looks beautiful as decoration on your dress form. ❤❤

Love all the outfits, that ruffly robe🤩 NEED. That white sands dress is so beautiful, I love that you wore and used it again. That's what clothes are meant to do.

My favorite outfit of all of them was the one that was finished years ago - the White Sands gown! All of you gallivanting around the beach in your beautiful white fluffy gowns was just incredibly evocative of the Impressionists - Mary Cassat in particular - and I always love seeing art "come to life" like that. The new things were all beautiful as well, but that was the most "wow" moment for me!

I wish I had been able to get more footage of us that day because it was like looking at a painting! Seeing them all flustered together with their skirts blowing in the breeze on those beautiful beaches was spectacular!

I can't believe the antique skirt! WOW! It makes such an interesting shape when you spin.

Isn't it cool? It has big pintucks that go all the way down and then release towards the bottom so you get that great flare. What a find! I can't believe I found that!

I loved all the outfits, but I guess the white ones were my favorite! It all looked so realistic on the sand and all of you dressed in white. I really love the beaded one too, that gave you many headaches plus was so heavy!! So hard to wear heavy clothes like that!! It was very beautiful though. I love the robe you created as well. You are a talented seamstress!! Loved this!

Seeing all the adult joy happening for all of you while frolicking around was so awesome! You looked absolutely lovely. When you said you forgot to film a few things I thought... so you mean you were living and enjoying yourself? Good! I always think that us creatives forget we don't have to share absolutely everything and are entitled to make for our own enjoyment instead of to share.

Aw thank you. I am often really bad about trying to "work" too much when I'm doing costuming, so I appreciate that ☺️

Such a gorgeous trip, looked like a great time with great friends. Picking favourites is hard… I love the blue aesthetic, the beaded wonder, the white sands… ok, I guess all of them. It’s always good to know that other people have ambitious plans…and then life happens. So glad you’re happy with the results- they were wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

I loved so many of your ensembles and I'm totally jealous of your trip. PEI for an Anne of Green Gables vacation is one of my dreams. I think my favorite is your White Sands dress, and I love how you photographed it to match the Catlin McCarthy print. I also love the cycling outfit. I REALLY want a cycling sweater & I've tried knitting one twice with no success.

so jealous! i would love to go to PEI! I heard somewhere that the actual Green Gables is a farm outside of Toronto. Did you see it on PEI?

The Green Gables building they used in the movie for filming is near Toronto, but the house that inspired LM Montgomery is on PEI and is the Green Gables Heritage Place today!

You might be thinking of the property in Leaskdale, Ontario (used to drive by the plaque on the way to my parents). No idea how it shaped the stories…I didn’t dig that deep 🤔😂
