25:44 If a store manager and/or owner has an issue with you taking photos of the shelves as a task on DoorDash, politely let them know that DoorDash sent you there for that purpose and show him/her/them the task in the Dasher app. If he/she/they say he/she/they doesn't want to listen, politely tell them you'll contact DoorDash Support and stop doing the task. Then contact Support about it and let them educate the merchant and handle the situation from that point on. That way you don't get trespassed and/or a criminal record. And you'll still get paid for the task without it affecting your ratings. But just to be safe ask them to explicitly state that you'll receive pay for that task and that it will not negatively affect your account/ratings. Finally, take screenrecordings and screenshots of the entire process (from start to finish/from start of shift to end of shift) just in case you need to prove anything as a result. It's best to do that anyway, but especially when you're doing a new thing (like these tasks) on the platform. Videos are always more powerful than photos, but they deplete your battery and fill up your device's storage quicker. If you take a photo while you're screenrecording, you will have both video and photo, but you'll have the biggest hit to both your battery and device storage.
I’ve done two of these in the past week. One was $17 the other $13. It only took me about 25 minutes, 11 pictures for each side of the aisle so 22 pictures an aisle and I had 4 aisles. The app tells you if you are approached to tell them you are with DD and management knows you are here taking pictures. The first store I went to the worker told me a dasher had come in yesterday but his phones battery died while taking pictures and he had to leave . I have the newest iPhone and my phone got super hot taking the pictures so make sure ur battery is full too. I liked it and would accept other offer’s like this. I’m at 25 percent acceptance rate so you don’t have to be in a tier to get the offer.
You don't have to take the photos. Most times I do in hopes it helps another dasher find what they need quickly. Sometimes I don't because I am behind schedule.
This sounds like the stores don’t properly label items in their aisles. I’m actually glad they’re offering this because it means I can find items faster. Oh and cvs is pretty bad with inventory lol. Consistently everywhere.
I ended up shopping at a CVS that was closing and the shelves and Isles were empty. Walgreens in CVS are to the companies that are closing a lot of stores.
Interesting. Thank you for report. It sounds (photo assignments) like preparation for launching 3D guides through the stores. Sounds like DD is planning ahead a virtualization of shopping. This is good. Yes? But to do this it is like taking pictures inside of someone's house - in the future they will have to get permits from stores.
I would absolutely do this if it came to my market! Especially if it’s low mileage and you don’t have to deliver/lift heavy items. It’s a win. I have no problem communicating with an associate and showing my phone for example (if needed).
Definitely got asked to take a photo of the customer holding the order up and I didnt even notice until the took the food inside, I just took a photo of my shirt holding the DoorDash bag
I'm in WV and I'm already getting prompts to take a photo of the area that I got an item from when shopping, it does not say I am getting paid more. So the past few times I skipped it. Until I get paid more to do this, I won't do it again.
I regularly take pictures at stores and of specific products with my phone all the time. It helps me to remember items that I've been looking for or that I find interesting. No one has ever said anything to me. If I could get paid to do it ... score!
Are others getting the shelf photos as part of normal shop and deliveries? I've done a ton of these lately, maybe 3-8 photos on every S&D order, with no indication they are earning me anything extra. They are just presented as,required tasks, like a normal drop off photo.
I would definitely do this if it's offered. Sometimes on red card shop they ask me to take a picture and say thanks for helping shop or whatever they send
The photo new thing is just inventory control . Even at 35 per offer is a BIG discount for the retailer They must have an AI system that already uses this and now they found that DD will do this cheaper than paying a employee. My question Is , does the more peak pay mean an in flux of more shittier orders during that time and DD adds the peak pay to make sure that the bad orders get delivered?
Hey Mike. Are you getting a lot of information on how buggy the Door Dash app is getting? I'm needing to reboot the app multiple times during stacked shop and order and I'm having items jump lists.
Hope they don't do like mobee and have to approve the photos to get paid I quit doing secret shopper cause they never wanted to pay saying pics weren't good enough
Well, at least they probably pay out. I had taken a million damn pics for the app you mentioned, and it was awkward because nobody was in the store except like one person, so I ended up buying some things, so I did look 👀 strange taking pics or get noticed, then they sent me a thing saying that it wasn’t accepted a few days later. So, I wasted my time, my gas, plus bought stuff. I would assume here they would at least pay you like they do a regular order, and you are making more. I have only seen the menu pics for $1, and it was only at two or three places. $35 bucks I would, as CVS & Walgreen’s is not too far from me, but we only have one of each in my city unfortunately.
As far as employees asking us to leave when we are on tasks and whatnot its not going to happen. Ive worked at these stores and secret shoppers are only secret when higher up hires them and even still... they all know before secret shoppers show up. They arent supposed to say anything to the employees but we always knew the 2 or 3 weeks they would be coming by. Its not a secret 😂
Stores are not public property they are private property open to the public so make sure you have the stores permission before doing this. I know this because I have 30yrs experience working retail security.
They don't have to pay someone to fly around country and take uberz collect menus then upload plus expenses. Turning drivers into doordash marketing with out paying benefits or expense. They can then havecpeoole over seas making 5 dollars and hours update apps
Does Doordash cap your hourly earnings? Seems like I have a cap. If true, they need to raise it. Can't survive on $20 an hour including expenses. Not happening. Needs to be closer to 30 so you can save 1/3 towards the $500+ repairs every other month.
I can see this going really wrong for Dashers. No thanks. Why don't they just space it out with people doing shop n deliver orders already? Have them take a few pictures on every order for additional pay.
And what's annoying is like the receipt pictures you have to take them and take a bit more time or it feels like you'll get hit with something account wise
Hi, I’d like the content of your videos, but it takes too long to get the highlights out of the videos. I wish you would make a shorter version of just the highlights because a lot of your videos you repeat the same thing over and over even playing the video back at 2x Speed Takes Way too long to pull the needed information out of it.
Hey soo thx to you I've decided to start recording driving videos. Trying to get my first 50subs so i can go live. Id appreciate urr support.❤ God bless.

Don’t worry dashers you will get one every 250 orders 😆 pathetic
new dasher task cook the bigMac: please go in the McDonalds ask for a uniform, proceed to the prep station, cook 2 mcpattys, and assemble the big mac.
😂 So dramatic
@boomingbubblebus1470 yourdashermike is going to be like "let me know if you see these orders in your area" 🤣
@@SukottoSama 😆😆
😂😂😂😂😂 dash total $2
Exactly what some of the comments were like on Reddit. DD is treading towards a bit too much micromanagement. Let's not overcomplicate food delivery

I just get prompted to take a photo while doing shop and deliver orders.

Same. No extra pay. 2 dollar Tony

We have shelf photos in Indiana. Near Chicago. But only while shopping. After getting the product, it'll ask for a photo of where we find it.
I've noticed lately that my average orders, say at McDonalds for one, the pay seems to be running $1 less on most orders for the last few weeks????
I got the store hours task during Labor Day Weekend. Pittsburgh market
Interesting. Thank you for report. It sounds (photo assignments) like preparation for launching 3D guides through the stores. Sounds like DD is planning ahead a virtualization of shopping. Yes shelf photos after you pick out the item. Then it ask you to take a photo where it is located.
I’ve been doing these shelf photos on both Door Dash and UBER EATS for almost a year now
I would absolutely do this if it came to my market!
I got a Menu Photo yesterday from our local pizza shop , they gave me an extra dollar 💵 to upload the pics of the menu 😊
I'm in WV and I'm already getting prompts to take a photo of the area that I got an item from when shopping, it does not say I am getting paid more. So the past few times I skipped it. Until I get paid more to do this, I won't do it again.

I’ve received 2 menu requests, and ONE dash streak where I’m at. Nothing else in Az.

Yes I'm all in I've heard of these tasks. Is this only gor platinum dashers? How do I get these orders?
Hey Mike. Are you getting a lot of information on how buggy the Door Dash app is getting? I'm needing to reboot the app multiple times during stacked shop and order and I'm having items jump lists.
Just think of the businesses who the employees give dashers a hard time. 😂😂😂 This could go very, very wrong.
Photos have been an option in Boston for the past 8 months or so.
Is it the Dasher Task where there's no shopping etc involved it's just taking pictures as shown here? Or is it accompanying a current S&D assignment?
Absolutely yes I will!!!❤
It's probably to help future shop and deliver orders so dashers can find items easier
Ohio has none of these new Dash offers...
Southwest Ohio here , never seen an offer like this I do 100 orders a week
Have you ever taken a Pictor a menu just curious 😳
Here they just give you a pop up to take pictures of where you find an item. But they don't pay me for it so I don't do it.
Shelf photos are kind of important..... Store stockers need to do their job right
Washington state don't have any of that, that I see
Sounds like doing Google Maps street views but for inside of stores.
Have not see this in NH
Hope they don't do like mobee and have to approve the photos to get paid I quit doing secret shopper cause they never wanted to pay saying pics weren't good enough

Maybe this is just to get all the item locations in stores for the shop and deliver orders.
Oh and Winn Dixie manager asked me to leav because I was taking pics on a secret shop
Ohio/CLE market have yet to see this. Still on waitlist for dash link lol
You don't want to
I do a shopper app but I make like an extra 260 to 390
I’m also sure this is only offered to platinum drivers.
I wouldn't mind doing this at all. Great wayto earn money.
I don't mind taking photos
This is nothing. We they were asking me to do this a year or two ago I didn’t care for the time wasted taking pics
They try to get photos off you while shopping for free. I never take photos from them.
They pay me a $1 for menu pictures. Kinda adds up
Doordash running 🐀 now!
They make me take pictures of shelves while I am doing shop orders, and I didn't get a penny extra. 😂😂😂😂
They want you to help your fellow dashers
@@kevinmangold9857 how does that help? i've never seen a single photo ever while shop and deliver
And what's annoying is like the receipt pictures you have to take them and take a bit more time or it feels like you'll get hit with something account wise
Same but I just take a random shelf pik or pik of my finger... they don't pay me anything so sorry
Exactly! Same for me! Dang I'm missing out!
It is NEVER busy. Amazon flex is king
Agreed
Not a lot of these. Heaven forbid these apps actually let anyone make any real money.
Doordash company become CIA Agent Food Supply Network. 😹
Sounds like California is ahead of other markets cause these are all old
So im taking pics for free??
What are you talking about
yep
@@ferretapocalypse the premise of the video is what I'm talking about
