The Remington quick cut without a guard has been my go to for years. It leaves a stubble which I like, you may not be satisfied with that. It doesn't catch the hair so after you make a pass just stop and use the brush to sweep hair into a bag. It's really easy and very ergonomic. Hair can't get clogged and it's wet or dry. I've also started to use a lubricant spray. Otherwise Panasonic arc 5 or 6, although the 6 is very expensive. With Panasonic cleaning is really easy, no need for a cleaning system. Cheers from London.
Hey there, maybe you give the Braun Series 8 a try (without cleaning Station). It has the old head design from the Pulsonic Series 7 which was without the lifter part in the head you mentioned in your video. I dont use the cleaning station instead I use the brush/water and afterwards the original Braun shaver cleaning spray, works fine for me! Best regards from Germany
DrLenen, Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve been looking into the Series 8, but it seems like the head is an all-in-one design too. Could you post a picture of the underside of the razor head over on Electric Razor Rap (www.electricrazorrap.com)? I’d love to see what it looks like compared to the Series 9.
Why not TRY shaving every day? That way the hair residue would be shorter and theoretically able to flow better through small openings without clogging.
Thanks for your post, I appreciate your input. While shaving every day would mean dealing with about 67 to 75% less hair compared to shaving every three days, it’s important to note that this won’t solve the underlying problem. The real issue is Braun’s combined foil-and-cutter design, which makes it difficult to clean thoroughly. So yes, shaving daily might delay the clogging since less hair would accumulate each time, but it wouldn’t fully prevent the razor from clogging over time. The hair would still get trapped in those tight spaces, just more slowly.
Have any of you faced the same problem with Braun razors?
