    Thank you for your video. I just bought my first Remington PF 7855 and the manual did not have the takedown to clean so, this video did better than the manual, thanks. Also what I tried to keep it clean was to turn shave after a shower to keep body oil from getting in; and after use, turn on upside down and tap it, and shaving come out and land on the paper I had there, and there were quite a bit. After watching your video, I will try this extra step to keep it clean, thanks. Awesome job on your video.

    The Remington quick cut without a guard has been my go to for years. It leaves a stubble which I like, you may not be satisfied with that. It doesn't catch the hair so after you make a pass just stop and use the brush to sweep hair into a bag. It's really easy and very ergonomic. Hair can't get clogged and it's wet or dry. I've also started to use a lubricant spray. Otherwise Panasonic arc 5 or 6, although the 6 is very expensive. With Panasonic cleaning is really easy, no need for a cleaning system. Cheers from London.

    I missed an important step: lubrication. After cleaning, spray the outer part of the head assembly once reassembled with electric razor lubricant or put a couple of drops of baby oil or light machine oil on the outer cutters.

    Hey there, maybe you give the Braun Series 8 a try (without cleaning Station). It has the old head design from the Pulsonic Series 7 which was without the lifter part in the head you mentioned in your video. I dont use the cleaning station instead I use the brush/water and afterwards the original Braun shaver cleaning spray, works fine for me! Best regards from Germany

    Why not TRY shaving every day? That way the hair residue would be shorter and theoretically able to flow better through small openings without clogging.

    • @ElectricRazorRap
      @ElectricRazorRap Місяць тому

      Thanks for your post, I appreciate your input. While shaving every day would mean dealing with about 67 to 75% less hair compared to shaving every three days, it’s important to note that this won’t solve the underlying problem. The real issue is Braun’s combined foil-and-cutter design, which makes it difficult to clean thoroughly. So yes, shaving daily might delay the clogging since less hair would accumulate each time, but it wouldn’t fully prevent the razor from clogging over time. The hair would still get trapped in those tight spaces, just more slowly.

    Die schmutzige Flüssigkeit läuft nicht ungefiltert zurück in den Rasierer. Schau dir mal die Reinigkartusche an. Das große Loch hat ein sehr feines Sieb. Das Sieb verhindert das alte Barthaare in den Rasierer gelangen.Aus dem Loch wird die Flüssigkeit zum reinigen in die Station gepumpt. Das kleine Loch ohne Sieb ist für die schmutzige Flüssigkeit die zurück in die Kartusche läuft. Es tut mir leid das du diese Probleme mit dein series 9 hast. Meinen alten series 7 hatte ich 10 Jahre ohne ein einziges Problem. Den series 9 habe ich nun 2 Wochen und bin total zufrieden. Ich hoffe das dieser auch ohne Probleme funktioniert.

    • @ElectricRazorRap

      Es tut mir leid, aber die schmutzige Flüssigkeit filtert sich tatsächlich zurück in den Rasierer, da in diesem Punkt mehr Haarreste als Reinigungsflüssigkeit vorhanden sind. Außerdem muss ich leider sagen, dass Braun für mich nicht mehr in Frage kommt, da der Kopf des Series 9 Pro einteilig ist und nicht mehr aus separaten Schneid- und Foliensets besteht.

    I’m disappointed. The noise is annoying, and the shave seems to take by far more time than a wet shave using a Gillette razor.

    • @ElectricRazorRap
      @ElectricRazorRap 2 місяці тому

      Seriously? Complaining about noise on an electric razor is like complaining a blender is loud. It’s built for power and efficiency, not silence. If you're looking for the quiet of a manual Gillette, then maybe stick to the basics. But some of us prefer getting the job done faster with tech that actually works. And I’d bet you didn’t even stick with it for the proper break-in period of a few weeks, which is key to getting the best shave with the Braun.

    • @janjochser9030
      @janjochser9030 2 місяці тому

      @@ElectricRazorRap Thank you for confirming my suggestion. There must have been a survey or any market research which says that most of the customers combine noise with efficiency, and so Braun decides to make its products noisy to claim they are efficient. Come on, what has noise to do with efficiency? Back in the old days when we were a country of inventors and tinkerers Max Braun founded his company to create useful devices and succeeded because his products just worked. I grew up with this, so don’t tell I have no clue. And as I said: Your video shows that you need far more time using the Braun razor than I need using a Gillette (well, Procter & Gamble don’t care hence they own both). So the Braun is noisy without being efficient. And that means: If you really prefer tech that actually works, you must turn back to the basics.

    • @ElectricRazorRap
      @ElectricRazorRap 2 місяці тому

      @@janjochser9030 Wow, you really cracked the code there. Braun must have definitely designed their razors to be noisy just to trick us into thinking they’re efficient. I guess that's why they're one of the top names in electric razors, right? As for your nostalgic trip about 'the old days'-newsflash: technology evolves. You know, kind of like how cars aren’t as loud as they used to be, yet they’re faster and more efficient. The noise level has nothing to do with performance. It’s about the mechanics inside doing the work. You want silence? Stick to a candle and a safety razor. Oh, and let's talk about time. Sure, your wet shave with a Gillette might feel faster, but don’t forget the lathering, rinsing, and blade replacements-plus, using an electric razor isn’t about racing the clock, it’s about comfort, convenience, and less irritation. Braun didn’t become a trusted brand by accident. They’re efficient because they combine all those factors-noise included, if it means getting the job done right. As for Procter & Gamble owning both Braun and Gillette, I’m glad you found Wikipedia. But guess what? Owning different brands doesn’t make them identical products. You might want to brush up on the concept of 'diversification' in the corporate world.

    • @janjochser9030
      @janjochser9030 2 місяці тому

      @@ElectricRazorRap If you want to falsify my words, it’s counterproductive to confirm them. It was me who said that noise has nothing to do with efficiency. And it was me who said that Braun succeeded because of their useful devices. And it was me who said that an electric razor differs from the Gillette. And it was me who said that I grew up with Braun devices and that I know the brand. And I don’t need Wikipedia to know who bought an old German brand; I know what happens to most of our famous companies. So what’s left? „Technology evolves.“ Sure. And that’s the reason why electric razors don’t have to be that noisy anymore. And that’s the reason why they should do the job faster and better than the old-fashioned do. „Using an electric razor is about comfort, convenience, and less irritation.“ Well, it should be. But if you notice that it’s less comfortable and less conveniant, it isn’t. I don’t have less irritations using an electric razor, and I’ve tried a lot so far - Braun, Remington, Philips. Only the Pitbull is okay. I put my head under the faucet and shower it; no lathering. Then I shave my head. Afterwards I shower my head under the faucet again. That’s it. Changing the blades takes seconds, and I must change them at most once a month. I watched your video because I considered to buy the Braun Series 9. But watching you using it disappointed me. So I didn’t order it.

    • @jim-elliott
      @jim-elliott 2 місяці тому

      @@janjochser9030 Ah, the classics-someone who already knows everything about Braun and still watches a Braun review video just to point out how great their own method is. Impressive. But let’s clear things up: your words are still confirming my point. Noise doesn’t equal inefficiency, but it sure seems like you can’t separate the two in your experience. You’re right-technology evolves, which is why an electric razor like the Series 9 does the job faster for most of us who actually give it time to adjust. Maybe your ‘shave under the faucet’ method is your personal golden standard, but not everyone wants to go caveman-style. If you didn’t order the Series 9 based on one video, that’s your choice, but trust me, the razor speaks for itself-millions of users worldwide aren’t wrong. Electric razors prioritize comfort, convenience, and less irritation when used correctly, but judging by your experience across different brands, it sounds like you’ve either got the worst luck in the world or you’re using them like they’re Gillette razors, expecting the same results. And as for the Pitbull… I’m not sure how that comparison even made it here, but hey, everyone has their preferences. Keep enjoying your faucet routine-I'll stick to using razors that actually evolve with the times.

Yeah, the price difference for cleaning cartridges can be quite surprising between Amazon and London Drugs here in Canada. It's always good to shop around for the best deal. I appreciate your kind words and support! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

    This razor is a joke. Very noisy when cleaning and when shaving with it.. the blade sharpeners didn’t last long for me very very disappointed in this so I went back and bought me a Norco, which is very good for me. I just wasted this money on this thing is very expensive.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Just to clarify, the Braun Series 9 Pro 9465cc doesn’t actually have "blade sharpeners," so I’m not sure what you’re referring to there. As for the noise, some people do find electric razors a bit loud, especially during the cleaning cycle. And, I’ve got to ask, what exactly is a Norco? Maybe you meant a Norelco? If you really did go out and buy a "Norco," it sounds like you might have been influenced by something other than just a desire for a new razor! Everyone has their preferences, and it’s great that you found something that works for you. But for many, the Braun Series 9 Pro is a top performer.

      I'm curious-how did you waste your money when Braun offers a full money-back guarantee? It sounds like you could have easily returned it if you weren't satisfied. Maybe next time, take advantage of the money-back guarantee before calling something a joke.

      @@ElectricRazorRap I have a very thick beard and this razor is NO joke. It gives me a nice smooth shave in a small amount of time. The self esteem increase is worth it. I also use a manual razor afterwards on my neck just try to get rid of stragglers. Works well this way.

      Sorry to inform you, but it looks like you need a crash course in spelling-it's 'designed,' not 'disighned.' Also, your misinformation is showing. Foil shavers can and do work for head shaving, as demonstrated in this video. Just because you haven't figured out how to use them properly doesn't mean the rest of us haven't. Next time, try doing a bit of research before making clueless comments. Cheers!

      As I've mentioned before, these videos are not indicative nor are they a guarantee of the experience others will have with any particular razor I use in said videos. These videos are for informational purposes only, and are indicative, obviously, of my experiences only. You may have the same experience I do, and it is equally possible that you may not. The only recommendation I will make is the same as always. Try different electric razors, and if your budget doesn't allow for even mid-range electric razors, start with the lower-end razors.

    • @ElectricRazorRap
      @ElectricRazorRap 7 місяців тому

      Thanks for reaching out. If you're tired of the hassle of using a traditional razor and foam, the Braun Series 9 Pro could be a game-changer for you. This razor is designed to deliver a close shave with minimal effort, and many users find it much more convenient than traditional methods. While it may take a bit of time to get used to the electric shaving experience, once you do, you'll likely find it much quicker and easier than your current routine. As for cutting hair as short as a multi-blade razor, the Series 9 Pro can definitely achieve a very close shave. It has ultra-sharp blades and a powerful motor that can tackle even short stubble with ease. Ultimately, the best way to know if this razor is right for you is to give it a try. Everyone's preferences and hair types are different, so what works for one person may not work for another. If you're looking for a convenient and effective way to shave your head, the Braun Series 9 Pro is definitely worth considering. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with. Also, feel free to visit the Electric Razor Rap board at www.electricrazorrap.com for more suggestions and discussions on electric shaving.
