What have you given your full attention today? Were you able to bring conscious effort to a task, interaction, or experience? If so, were you also able to turn that experience into a concentrated Presence practice?

Word of honor 😇throughout my day although I have personal and work responsibilities that challenge me in every nanosecond including the challenge that I am to myself, my first thought in everything I do is TO BE PRESENT,only that sometimes I get distracted because I'm afraid of not being up to the situation but a second later I realize it immediately and I'm so sorry I got lost! SO SORRY 😥But I love everyone I have no enemies in my heart and what good I can do I always do, and I'm so happy to be able to do it. NO other meaning in my (?!)life which not be this.🙏❤️

Didn't do too well with that today, drove to a seaside town, couldn't get parking, drove round and round and round, was very hot inside and outside, no cold air conditioning. Eventually followed instructions and found a place further up the hill to park. Got to swim over by the rocks, cooled down, the rest just flowed after that, felt calm as the sea was today, found a beautiful natural beach on the way home.
      🙏

I remember organising a date night, looked online picked a movie, picked the cinema etc, finally Friday night came along and off to the movies we go, the next day, I think well that was nice but now what, what are we going to do next, meanwhile my bank account was going down faster than it was going up, and I always felt unfulfilled, disappointed and broke. No experiences last, not one. the only thing that lasts is this very moment. To abandon all else accept this moment, is peace, contentment and joy. It's absolutely incredible how much is actually going on at this moment, if we can be still enough to notice it. to be anchored in this moment is a good way to live.

Very beautiful comment to awaken to some people the essence of everything that happens in life happens only in “ this moment” as the great teachers of time said * this to shall pass * everything passes good and bad nothing is fixed or permanent 🙂

@@celsolmon thx, yep practising staying present has really helped me in so many ways, particularly with my girlfriend, when I am with her, I am with her, and when we are apart, I don't let myself think about her. My head used to drive me crazy with the, I wonder what she's doing, and who she is with, and on and on and on it would go add nauseum. I simply watch or notice when this train of thought pops up, and get present again. This is now the longest relationship I have ever had, hahaha.

Ignore thought...pay no mind to the mind. Instead, be 100% devoted to the feeling/experiencing of the moment. What do you see, hear, taste, etc? What do you feel...inside and outside of the body? Just like it is possible to be so in thought that you bump into a lamp pole because you simply did not see it (you were not aware)...it is possible to be so with the here and now and fully aware that there is no room for thought. In the absence of thought, there is only the present moment.

No where does Eckhart ever tell anyone to live entirely in the moment and ignore thought. If everyone did that the world would fall into utter chaos and we would be nothing but animals. Sometimes one must think to override other thought, be mindful. This is not being ignorant to the mind, do that at your own peril.

I have little notes around my house that say “presence “ to remind me to always do this. The proper practice of presence is what makes all the other spiritual tools work. Without it they are just empty rituals.
Presence taught me how to direct chi (or flow) with my mind to heal lifelong disease that the doctors couldn’t. I learned to get so present as to blend with Source or the quantum field and learn consciously how to create my reality from the realm that created everything (combined with other special practices) and my life changed. When you get so present that you shift to quantum everything changes and true awakening takes place. namaste 🙏

Yes, that works. Try using it when you go food shopping. Use the presence to keep your choices fresh, raw, and natural. Any processed food is always a egoic choice, which may be influenced by advertising, packaging, upbringing, and culture.

It’s many years ago I was "exposed" to Tolle for the first time and it was like a miracle for me. I remember saying to my friend:
    1. Why didn’t they teach me this in school? and
    2. I’ll never again be depressed for the rest of my life!
Now, many happy years later, it suddenly dawns on me that I no longer leave the present moment at all and haven’t done so for 5 or 6 years! Tolle can clearly remember how it feels, but I almost can’t.
But of course, he chose to teach the way in such a gentle fashion.
I sometimes give pointers, too, but mainly I’m just frolicking with nature and family - especially my grandchildren.

@Phoenix There can be no "medium for consciousness" as consciousness is the medium for all living and "dead" forms.
Generally speaking: When your basic understanding of existence gets this elaborate and idiosyncratic a little bell should always ring to warn you that you’re in danger or losing your way…

    • @Hallands.
      @Hallands. 2 роки тому +1

@Phoenix I’m aware what you’re doing, but there is no "scientific aspects of consciousness". Can’t you get it? Consciousness is the only possible absolute in the universe - scientifically speaking. It is timeless, formless and invulnerable… You ought to be able to deduce this much on your own, if you focus and contemplate what consciousness means…

Is this an opportunity for surrender, or action called for?
Practice being aware of your surroundings, alertness without tension. Let it be your second nature to focus on the present. It is a conscious practice.
Animals in their senses are very alert, aware of their surroundings. They are rooted in being and joy.
Center of attention is in the present. Present is all you have. It's life itself.
Your life's situations (circumstances) are not your life. Life's situations are experienced in your mind which rarely work in harmony. Situations are always uncertainties and instability.
Your life is experience in this moment, the only thing there ever is.
    Thanks Eckhart. 10 August 2022. 🌹🌹🌹🦋🦋

Relationships build on drama and powerplay is irrelevant and I'm not interested in that. I want relationships where I see anybody as my brother and sister and connect deeper spiritual. I seek truth, wisdom, emotional fulfillment, peace and freedom unconditionally. You are the creator so instead of getting lost in the world take responsibility for everything, good and bad, and enjoy the freedom that comes with that.

Hello dear Eckhart, I just started working at an organization. Even after coming home I am thinking about people I meet there. What can I do for that? Wishing good health for you 🌸

My main focus is ignoring thoughts of the past or wishing for it and also having no thought or wish for the future. I cannot say I’m exclusively in the moment but it is how I approach it. Although an incident of sadness in my past lives in my psyche, is constantly at the back of my mind & although I accept it And wish to forget it I cannot. Want to learn how to live with this sadness.

Let your thoughts of sadness be a fact and walk with it rather than struggle to make it go away. The feeling will walk beside you as you carry on in each moment. One day you may notice that this "companion" has taken its leave. As Taoist teaching says "the right action will arise by itself."

The inner present moment with the eyes closed is the ancient practice of Meditation-Separation which is the practice of putting the body and mind to sleep but staying AWAKE and ALERT inside and separate from the body and mind until you remember and EXPERIENCE yourself as Eternal Spirit again.
If you remain in this original and natural State after Meditation it is known as Self Realization by Yogananda, the Tao, Cosmic Consciousness, Born again -Jesus, Garden of Eden, Prodigal Son, Leaving the body but not dying by Socrates Ramana Maharishi and Krishnamurti .Virtue by Socrates and the Stoic Saints Satori. The Holy Grail to Eternal Life (not a real cup a literary image). Heaven within Luke 17 21, Awake as Eternal Spirit again-Buddha... all the same. Good luck and love 😇❤️✌️

    • @CitrusSimon

We do not stop them, we become aware of them, and watch them pass through the consciousness, like passing clouds. Which means we see the thoughts as if we are watching a film.

This man's teachings are really helping me. I recommend reading the Power of now. or listen to his podcast- I dont know the name. my wife is actually listening to that. I am reading his books. but apparently people call in with different questions and problems and Eckhart Tolle offers guidance. try the different materials and find what you like best and give yourself to that. I mean, find what resonates with you of his many tips and practise it. well, this is what I am doing. I have a long way to go myself. but that book is changing my life. good luck, my friend.

Listen to Eckhart every day as much as you can. He's very calming. You're thinking will eventually slow down and you'll feel calm and present, then you become aware of the guidance from source.
