Oh wow I like the looks of this technique. I actually bought four second hand monster high dolls on the weekend! I have never done this before so I’m interested in tips like this. Yours turned out stunning I wish my actual hair looked like this Hahahaha
Thank you!! I WISH I had this hair!! 😍 lol the best I have is purple hair with roots grown out 😂😅 that's so awesome you just bought some dolls!!!! I'm so excited to see what you make!! ❤
Thank you!! 😁 I think I'd have to fine a curling wand small enough for a doll's head. One method is to heat up a metal chopstick so it acts like a mini curling wand haha ❤
I absolutely love this, and I may just have to try your method! I have this old Clara doll, from the Barbie and the Nutcracker line that went with the movie, and because she was one of my childhood toys, her hair is destroyed. I'm a bit nervous about rerooting, so this may be a nice compromise. Thank you so much for talking about materials too, I never would've thought to try fabric-tac with a toothpick for this, but it makes so much more sense. I tend to use fast grab tacky glue, which is fine given I do most stuff with yarn, but perhaps trying something new would yield a cleaner result!
Yes!!!! Try it!!!! Especially if you've done the yarn wigs before, this will be a piece of cake!! Plus, the only downside to messing up is wasting the materials. But you don't have to worry about messing up the doll and you can always learn from mistakes!! I'm so happy you found this helpful!! 😍 If you decide to try making a doll hair wig, I'd really love to see!! You can tag me on Instagram with #bunniediy so I can see the picture!! 😁😁
Absolutely! You have a couple options! You could go to a local thrift store and use hair from other dolls. I used to purchase old dolls and cut their hair off to use as wigs. OR You could use some yarn to make wigs. You can watch Mozekyto's Yarn wig tutorial (if you search that exact phrase, it'll come up). That way it's super cheap, easy, and you can do any color you want! 😍😁 I really hope you're able to make something!!
Thanks for asking!! You could totally just attach the wefts directly to the doll! I prefer making wigs so I can change out the hair when I get bored of the look lol but you could follow all the same steps to attach them permanently to the head instead! 😊😊
Thank you so much! Do you mind if I ask which part? I struggled a little getting the curls just right (and almost gave up! LOL) but it just took a lot of patience. I'm sure you'd be able to do it, no problem! ^_^

BunnieDIY thanks!
Me too, but I got a second hand Ever After High doll cause I couldn’t find any Monster High
Instead of hot iron - use curling wand. Hold over part dose the same as hot iron and you can use the same wand to put waves or curls in hair.

@@BunnieDIY Absolutely, thank you so much for the great tutorial! It may take a while, but once I get to making one, I will absolutely tag you!
Does the wig cap stay on? Mine tend to slip off.
Wow
What is the temperature of your flat iron?
Hi! Thanks for asking! I used an inexpensive Conair straightener that has a few heat settings. The lowest one - which I used - is 266°F 😊
BunnieDIY cool thank you 😊
Of course! Happy to help! :D
and wath if i dont have a hair for that wig i want to copy it

What is the point of making a wig cap versus just attaching the wefts to the head?

hey, can you make wigs for humans with this shiny quality nylon doll hair? price if youd do it?
I love the method all the way until the very last part. I don't think I could've saved it!
