I bought my pulleys in the late 90’s - early 2000’s from Ram Air Restorations. It doesn’t look like they offer the water pump pulley individually or the black anodized set anymore so here is the closest one they still offer for my car: www.ramairrestoration.com/pontiac/billet-pulleys/psps-65-67-pontiac-pulley-set-1965-67-no-a-c.html
Can you provide a link to the parts you purchased for this video? My 67 has similiar issues to yours and I have already replaced the water pump. Would like to try your recommendation.
Sure: I bought my Flowkooler 8-bolt water pump from Butler Performance: butlerperformance.com/i-24452955-flowkooler-pontiac-8-bolt-1964-68-hi-volume-cast-iron-water-pump-w-billet-aluminum-impeller-brw-1622.html?ref=brand:99930 I also got the stainless divider plates from them as well: butlerperformance.com/i-24452826-butler-performance-water-pump-divider-plates-for-1964-68-timing-covers-stainless-set-aau-n140pf.html I can’t provide a link to the radiator which I replaced in an earlier video because the company that made it is out of business.
@@MechanicalAdvantageGarage I already upgraded to a Coolmaster with electric fans and that does help. The fans run a lot once it gets to temp. Hopefully the correct install of the waterpump combined with my Coolmaster and electric fans will make it perfect.
I was not aware, there is a lot of info on the internet saying early water pumps are 55-68, but I guess you can’t trust everything you read/see on the internet. Thanks for the correction.
great video, I have been looking for info on my 389 water pump. this was perfect, thanks Allan
Glad it helped
Good to see it back in action, lookin forward to see the powertour vids
Looking forward to powertour!
🔥🐐🔥 thanks got a 70 GTO, never really thought about the pump clearance
It’s a funny thing, but bad remains plagued Pontiac’s for years.
Your doing it fine
Thanks
Informative video. New Sub. Seeya on the Tour.
Thanks for the sub! I appreciate it. Let’s catch up on the Tour.
Thank you for doing this video it helped a lot
I’m glad it was helpful.
run it with a overflow tank different rad cap so it pulls water in when cools. then no air in the cooling system.
I have an overflow tank now but it’s vent to air so when it pressurizes it spews. I’ll need to look into a better way of doing this
Can you provide a link to the pulley you used?
Thank you!

@@MechanicalAdvantageGarage Thanks for the links. Can't wait to get this on my car and get it running cool
The flowkooler worked well, but my next upgrade is electric fans.

1955-63 Pontiacs used a 4-bolt water pump.
I was not aware, there is a lot of info on the internet saying early water pumps are 55-68, but I guess you can’t trust everything you read/see on the internet.
Thanks for the correction.
Can you get a 4 core radiator to help cooling too?
It had a Harrison 4-core in it, but I replaced it with an aluminum reproduction. The alloy radiator dropped temps by 15 degrees.
Good info on the impeller clearance. Here's another trick to keep your Poncho cool.

Good info!
