What happened between Olivia Benson and Rafael Barba from “SVU”?

- Although the focus of “SVU” are the heinous crimes which the unit must resolve, the dynamic between Olivia and Rafael has been the topic of much discussion. Olivia is currently the unit’s commanding officer, whereas Rafael is the ADA for the Sex Crimes Bureau. In a particularly tense episode, Olivia cut Rafael off when the latter agreed to represent Richard Wheatley, a man accused of murdering Elliot Stabler’s wife.

Rafael was the best thing in Olivia's life. But because the producers love Elliot, they've already found a way to keep him out of Olivia's life. Revolting.

And the actor performs on Broadway. So he is not avalaible.
But Barba is the best for real. He helped her to grow up. So did Amaro as well. "Friends for life", when Olivia was a lonely character.
Can't stand what the writers did to his character. (Barba).
Raul Esparza (Barba) doesn't want to return to the series. That is why he is not in the show. Nothing strange is going on.
Honestly I think that stabler is just always kinda holding her back but she was able to grow with nick and Barba way more
@@sydneymullenix9071 yes sure. But they turned Barba in to a greedy lawyer ... And Benson saying that she will never forgive him..before mumbling " I miss you too".
So the show can end with Benson and Stabler reunited ,,, I know this had to happen but Barba, and her squad, helped her to grow.
The new characters had to go away from the squadroom : Amaro and Barba and Rollins.. So there is no witness of these years (except Fin) she spent fighting and growing - and meeting new people who become her friends. So she is alone when Stabler is back in her life, except that she is a mother now. And she had to fight to stay with Noah and her squad helped her.
And she was talking with Rollins about mother's issues, both of them being single working mothers.
(Easier to talk with a colleague you meet every day than a friend who has another schedule).
+Stabler never been my fave.
I hated when they took barba out of the show 😢 he supposed to be the main character he is great!
i watched till the end - and noticed that you mixed up Rafael and Elliot's names on several occasions between 4:33-6:06 and am thoroughly confused

Stabler = Stay-bler.
