Great info. Thank you. Would it be ok to pick apples for storage in wet days

I'd wait until things dried out. Or if you have to pick them in the rain then set them out on a table to dry before you put them away.

Can I pick them slightly green for long term storage
Will the apple continue ripening or it will always taste green?

    Thank you. That helps.
    Question.
What does the moth look like ?
Is it only called that or is it a worm?
I have pin hole marks on my apples. DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE THEM?.
    TY

It's not the moth itself that does the damage. They lay eggs on the apples and then the larva burrow into the fruit. The holes from coddling moth larva are not pinhole sized, closer to pencil sized. You can google coddling moth to see a picture.

When is the average time to pick apples in Forks, Washington?

Sorry I can't help with that. Harvest time is different in every area, and even with different varieties. You should check with your local extension agency to see if they can help.

We have a couple old apple trees that produce fruit, but not good, regular apples. Theyre misshapen and small.
Is there a way to bring them back?

With proper pruning and care you may be able to get them producing again. I would recommend finding a local fruit tree expert to come take a look at your trees and give you some advice on pruning to get them to recover.

I got 2 apples from my young tree. Problem was is they were tiny and split badly. Hopefully next year will be better. I should have dropped the fruit this year. It is a tree that has only been planted for 2 years.

Conventional advice always says wait until year 3 or 4 to let the plant set fruit. But I have to admit I've done the same thing as you and let some stay on early, it's just so dang hard to wait! :)

More importantly, teach us how to grow apples organically and not have them devoured by worms so there will be some for us to harvest. I've seen nothing workable on line for this.
