The Honda has no right to be pissing with a H2 for top speed considering it is not just designed for freak vmax glory and stability. I rode a 2016 H2 and it was astounding how fast it was! But it was a big boat and felt heavy. This new blade is a tiny, nimble, peaky scalpel in comparison. My mate got his in July to race. But no racing this year. He ran it in on the road and it's stripped and waiting for the HRC loom and ECU and the rest... it powers past where the speedo stops counting! No other liter superbike does this. You'll see 650 show this... hopefully with GPS to prove what I'm saying. I'd say 200mph is realistic even bone stock because of the gearing! 650ib will need to be in the right gear and have a long road to make it work in a smackdown race. I cant wait to see him explore it. I wish he was better on a track to really show how good these bikes are at what they're designed for!
Once you gear that Triple-R SP down, you're going to be pleasantly surprised. Its geared so damn long from the factory I think you're going to get the best bang for the buck ever with a sprocket swap. Reminds me of a 2010 RSV4 where 6th gear is for "fuel economy" lol Oh and at 8k rpm... just call it VTec yo! Killer video!
you'll never know really with today's bikes, it could also be the riding modes and launch control regulating the progression of the revs. ride by wire sux.

Gone are the days of having a feel tools in my backpack to fix 90% of the bike if needed. If it's even slightly humid my RSV4 starts to throw electrical tantrums.
YOOOOOO I'm bloody sold on your trailer system!!!. That is cleeeeeannn!!! Everything just clicks in place and so easy to get in and out. I like touring my bikes so not for me but I appreciate how clean that setup is.
Even unrestricted the new fireblade is very top-endy, there's no v.tec or shift cam, it's just highly tuned and the internals beautifully finished to reduce friction. The bike responds very well to either a full system, Akrapovic ideally, or even a cat delete and then tune the ECU or buy the kit ecu - it makes big power, but it still needs to rev, but the mid-range does improve.
The Honda won’t have many problems compared to the Ducati’s, Aprilia, BMW’s. There’s evidence of quality all over the internet. No other brand comes close to Honda’s reliability

You can't flash the new blade. You need the HRC kit ECU and a few other parts too. It's bullshit that this is the case but sadly that's the situation. A sprocket swap doesn't mess the TC etc up tho... that's the only plus point. Get the credit card out and find a 0006 (2nd version) part number HRC ECU before you touch the exhaust. Total bummer!
I'd rather he waited for Woolich to release their software. HRC stuff is ridiculously expensive and not as well setup. From experience. I have a small breakdown video going over HRC vs Woolich.

Think along the lines that the SC82 dash is an actual PC... encrypted af and only has 1 port. The HRC ECU has the extra port to tune via, it's unflashable! The 2020 R1M is similar... you need a piggyback fuel controller on them and it is unable to adjust 90% of what needs adjusting. It's a really bad situation for the future of superbikes. The capabilities on the Honda are game changing but you ain't getting to mess with it unless you pay Mr Honda San the entry fee! Check Ten Kate website for the kit diagrams and pricing. You will puke. The days of a cheap and effective reflash and pipe swap are gone, methinks. The man to speak to in the US is in Texas, a great guy called Paul who is on Instagram as rcfourfive. Get your kit parts from Paul for sure.

It's all about time and money at this point. Get enough of both and you can do it. Although, I believe GM started the trend with this new encryption software that's incredibly difficult; I have faith in the aftermarket. If anything, swap the ecu out for a motec unit and viola. Not everyone has the money for that though. I at one point did, but I have since given up on bikes. Did everything I ever wanted to for relatively no gain. Now I just sit here and watch everyone else do it.

@650ib may I ask, how do you deal with the wind noise/buffeting on your bikes? Have you tested several helmets, ear plugs, windscreens? Does it matter at all? I seems to me it doesn't matter what I try, windnoise is always terrible!
Wait till you can get the ECM tuned. Honda really saps the power for emissions and intake noise. It probably doesn't see 100% power until 10,000 RPM w.o.t.

The bike is brand new and will be slower than normal because it's not broken in. It's tight and needs that break in time to loosen it up. I think 650ib knows this.

I dont ride myself. I wud like too but my question is when a bike is brand new like ur fireblade doesnt it have a break in period? How many miles is that? N are full throttle runs good for brand new stuff?
It's debatable, tons of people swear by running the bike hard for the break in period. Others say it's better to baby the bike. Some bikes like the BMW have a limiter on it until about 500 miles, other manufacturers don't. You can also do something called heat cycling as well, which is what I'm guessing IB did with the Honda.
I put 600 miles on my CBR today. I love it. What do u think of yours? We have all the same bikes brotha. I will ride out from Seattle sometime and we can do some smack downs
4th gear: 300 kph
5th gear: mach 1
6th gear: speed of light

I wasn't really interested in the new honda, but when I heard it comes with a Akrapovic exhaust system as stock, I'm like wow!

The Honda is faster than the R1. When you swapped bikes it proved it.
But it's not as fast as Panigale V4R and RSV4 1100 Factory

I wear Arai helmets with built in wind protection. It's not an issue for me.

I dont ride myself. I wud like too but my question is when a bike is brand new like ur fireblade doesnt it have a break in period? How many miles is that? N are full throttle runs good for brand new stuff?
It's debatable, tons of people swear by running the bike hard for the break in period. Others say it's better to baby the bike. Some bikes like the BMW have a limiter on it until about 500 miles, other manufacturers don't. You can also do something called heat cycling as well, which is what I'm guessing IB did with the Honda.
