Outstanding person to interview, stayed up all night following Courtney's win at UTMB. After her hip injury at Western States her win at UTMB was pure guts. Excellent person to interview she represents pure class.
Yupp that episode sold me on ultra/trail running! Still wanna run Moab because of that, though I've gotta work myself up to that kinda crazy distance haha
I was so happy you asked her the big question at the end of the interview. I was holding on to every word. I was flaggergasted by her answer. I can't wait! I may need to have a Barkley party!🥳🏃♀️🤣
Appealing, friendly, intelligent, knowledgeable, articulate - these admirable qualities tend to disguise the fact that she's an absolute BEAST. Hard to believe she'd have any trouble securing a Barkley invitation - or that any sane person would bet much against her finishing.
Fun fact: When Courtney had the leopard in the hammock hallucination during the Tahoe 200, her crew were wearing grey t-shirts with a leopard in a hammock print on them 🧐
Just finished it. Screw a marathon conor, just do a 50k. Once you hit marathon distance it's too tempting to go a bit farther for a 50k ultra. Great interview. I've watched a ton of them, and no one ever goes into the shoes. Also s-lab ultra 2 on sale on running warehouse. ;)
Ohh yea I just ran a 12 hr yesterday and had a pizza ready at home for refueling 😁. Also had bacon for the first time as running fuel at the aid station. It was actually amazing - it's light, full of calories and salt and is something that allllways goes down easy haha. It's hilarious how all these foods that are generally considered bad and to be avoided are the best race fuel when running stupid distances haha
@@vinzentreckling6084 I'd have never thought to try it but when I heard it was available, there was no question I needed it! GL with your training as well!
Someday with the Big Backyard Ultra I feel somebody is going to have to stop the top males who keep going to the point they are needed to go the Hospital for safety reason with the body shutting down on them with a struggle to live even at the hospital with potential to sue the race out of existence for a death like that or Government either state or federal in USA has to shut down this type of racing.

omg i can't believe this is real! the reason I got into running was dauwalter on rogan podcast.
likewise but also David Goggins had a role in that too LOL
Cameron Hanes too!
i got into running because of another ultra runner and soon after i started running saw her on rogan which just inspired me more!
100% she’s amazing goggins-rogan interview lead me to looking for endurance athletes and after listening to her I was sold

I'm a big fan! Love watching your videos Courtney. Keep inspiring us! 👏👏👏👏👏❤
Thanks. I love running. Great to see a good interview with a great phenom runner.
very nice questions, good interview
Think she could be the first woman to complete Barkley???
She definitely has the tools to do it! We'll be rooting for her if she gives it a shot. -Connor
For her first year at the Barkley and given the weather conditions she did amazing.
Any plans for sufferfest to come to the UK? I want it! Love me some stout, and runners stout sounds perfect
Barkley Marathon question at 45:53.....
She is such a ledge. I would love to see her smash the Barkley marathon!!!
Simply awesome interview!!!!
Great interview Connor! Thanks!
Great interview on Courtney’s part.
Fun fact: When Courtney had the leopard in the hammock hallucination during the Tahoe 200, her crew were wearing grey t-shirts with a leopard in a hammock print on them 🧐
They had those shirts made becasue of her hallucination.
Go Barkley Courtney - Go !
I'd love to see her run The Barkleys in Tennessee.
she should do badwater 135
good idea!
She’s running this race right now.
Where the shoe part
Interviewing and learning from the best 👌
She's an impressive athlete and person. I'd love to do an ultra :-)
Great conversation - truly enjoyed it. At least some more inspiration to run, sometime, a bit further then 42.1k.
42.2
@@filippeo Yeah, I think I can manage that! I might even go the distance, to 42.250
Awesome 🏃♀️
She is awesome, so funny and down to earth. Eating a McDonald's on a ultra🙈😂😂
Gotta get in those calories some how. I'd probably stick to gel though 😂😂 -Connor
I guess the only thing I been doing right was the diet lol what ever I'm craving

I might pick up a pair of the Also s-lab ultra 2 for the Black Canyon 100k next year.
Whitest teeth in the running community
The hallucinations are crazy, but also so Courtney to see things like chill cats.
Yeah ! ...
i´m not the only one having pizza ready in ultras *sighs of relief*

Sell the glide ride for Tuesday special tomorrow!
Her parents must be immeasurably proud. Tougher than nails and sweeter than Tupelo honey! Up, up, up!
Awesome sauce :)
Spectacularness!
please come back to UTMB - that's a real race (instead of Barcley)
I have a feeling we'll see her take on UTMB again. It really is the super bowl of ultra running. -Connor
Great to hear from Courtney. The interviewer isn’t my favorite and the constant ‘dings’ in the background are very distracting.
the guy does not listen: the difference between 100Miles and 200 miles is... mash potatoes :D (love it)
If my girl ran that race she'd win on head games alone

This guy is creepy..creepy eyes...the guy that interviews Courtney
I see absolutely zero reason to do one of these things. These people have lost it.
