Great video, some good catches there. Sounds like they’ve done some tweaking of the zones very recently (3-5 & 8-10) which may have resulted in a fault, as when I was last there a few weeks ago, she was announcing (3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10) instead. I like Ruth’s announcements for XC long distance services as they flow very well.

Agreed. It’d sound instantly better if they used the ‘to’ from her ‘service to’ and cut the clips properly. She sounds shocked when Wheelchair facilities are in ‘Zone... 6!!’ At least the man who used to manually override everything at Newport seems to have moved on.

The first four announcements were from the speaker half way up the stairs near the platform 4 gateline. Most of the rest are from the speaker on p1 that is furthest (of the working speakers) from the station building and is slightly odd in that its facing the dot matrix screen.

Can I ask where you recorded in the footbridge? The recordings are quite clear - Everytime I’ve tried, they’ve been way too quiet!
