Thanks for the great tips. We can hear well the differences. Spectre adds life to the vocal, it's nice (I take that)
About the Shadow Hill, I heard Charles de Shutter, a Belgian studio owner who has it, sayin that it's more subtle than the plugins.
    (It's his main mixbus comp)

Yeah I can imagine, I know some people that have used the hardware enough to agree that it is super subtle!

Do you have plungins on your master bus?? And if not what level are you recording your vocals is at because its clean?

Not in this video I bypassed all the plugins on the master. Just keeping levels in the green. I don't really go off numbers. Also everyone and every DAW's metering is different. But yeah just making sure im not clipping and or staying in the green MAYBE peaking in the yellow every now and then.

whats the thought process of using a limiter in the middle of the chain?

Just a safety if any words peak through that the compressor isn't clamping down on, and I like that specific limiter for the character it adds. Kind of just a tone box too

Why you moved away from UAD?

I am using a HDX system now, and like the idea of doing everything in Pro Tools instead of relying on a separate software (console). Plus now that UA is going Native most of the plugins I own are native now! I think the carbon sounds better and dealing with outboard gear is a breeze.
