Rob was my biology partner in high school and such a nice guy. Me the jock in a letterman jacket, and rob in black leather. I was actually a metalhead and played guitar as well. We spent most of class talking guitars, gear and updates about Death Angel. He'd also show me any new mentions of the band in Kerang mag. His deal with his mom was that he had to first graduate high school, and then he could be a world traveling rock star. I've enjoyed watching his career over the years. I'm now 54 yo and still playing. Had to sell my USA Jackson for christmas for the kids, but did just get my first 100watt/1960A halfstack! Wanted one since high school. Happy to see Rob suceed in doing what he loved.
Rob cavestany is my heavy metal hero!!! I"ve had the honor to be with him at shows, on stage loading gear for him in swarm, the organization and death angel!! And I"ve held his original Jackson ""dragon""!!!! Defininitly highlights in my life as a fan and friend!! I love you rob!!!!
Huge respect to musicians who give a great amount of time to do these rig rundown.. Like Rob, who knows his gears very well, he's on the top of everything. Mabuhay ka rob!
cool dude and great guitar player. keeps the 80's thrash vibe alive (if your into that). I also love the fact that's he's one of the few players out there that's not using a Fractal for his sound ( not that I have anything against Fractal, I think there awesome but it's nice to see someone stripping his sound down to the basics).
I got to see Death Angel live in a little club in Oklahoma City in the mid/late 1980s and it was FEROCIOUS!!! People were moshing and stage diving and crowd surfers feet were knocking the ceiling tiles out... FUCKING AWESOME! My band used to play "The Ultra-Violence" as our set list 'big finish'. \m/
those luminlays do glow really really well. normal lights don't really charge them though. it's the residual UV in normal lights that actually charges glow-in-the-darks.keep a black light in view of the side-dots, and they will be ridiculously bright.
Caught These Guys in Mesa AZ on the 17th of May and they THRASHED Like they ALWAYS HAVE!! Rob had a Minor Glitch with his Wireless but got it Fixed to Finish the Show. Old School Fan(Frolic and Act III Live) and will See them AS MANY TIMES as Possible!!
When can we expect a full episode on dying fetus? Already watched the episode with trey Williams but it would be awesome to see them breakdown their whole set
Trey was the only member of Dying Fetus that was interested in filming Gear Masters. The other guys are big fans of doing interviews. Chatted with them off camera, very nice people.
Death Angel, Testament and Exodus are making some of the best music they ever have this late in the game. What is going on out there in the bay area? These cats keep getting better and better. I dont have to make any age allowances for them like I have to with a certain other band, cough, hhmm.
Death Angel's Rob Cavestany shows off his tour guitar gear!
Who should we film with next?
Adrian Smith! And Dave Mustaine!
Avatar plz

Each has it's pluses and minuses. Gotta appreciate old school though!

Always loved the Death Angel Jackson's. And him using the Dominion as a practice guitar is pretty fucking sick, Lamb of God is too good.
sonofhorror1995 i bet his guitar body not that great for playing while sitting. so he need guitar that comfortable while he sit on the bus
:)
10-52 is a great string gauge for standard down to drop C#
Thanks for watching.
i remember back in the 90s, Rob had those old ying-yang jackson guitars that were "star-like" shaped
Love these guys
They're awesome!
I have the RRX24 with the black reverse sharkfins inlays took me awhile to get used to it and it's black and the best part its light

I wish more artists would plug in and give a demo of their rig. That’s all I think when watching. plug in & jamm!
There is never enough time for that unfortunately. These videos are filmed under extreme time constraints.
Digital Tour Bus
Awww, didn’t think of that. Thanks for the great videos.
Act III is one of my favorite albums ever released. Rob is a total badass guitarist!!
He's great!
I seen Death Angel last year open for Overkill. Rob sounded badass that night!
🤘🤘

Most definitely!
Rob's one hell of a cool dude, also I spy a nice glass rig or 2 on that table ;)

Die Black Dragon wäre mein Favorit, sympathisches Kerlchen, der Rob. Allgemein eine absolute Ausnahmeband für sich.

He is the best Thrash player especially nowadays.

Which effects he used in the Ultra Violence era?
Not sure.
0:35 to major tom

@@digitaltourbus no problem i really like looking at the cool gear keep up the epic work
He's got a killer guitar
💯
Cavestany is the BEST!
Definitely!
this dude loves rosewood fretbroad!
Were these only built for him? Meaning you can't even get these in a custom shop purchase?
Not sure, sorry.
his signature custom much more beautiful than warrior series, but warrior got great aerodynamic for playing while you sitting comfortably.
Appreciate you checking out the video!
Digital Tour Bus. Are you guys going to have one of will and his drums?

Guys ! "Space" doesn't exist ! ...and Earth is observably level contained and motionless !.
Always amazed me that this guy has very expensiv gear and i dont think of their band as ever making decent money. What the f do i know
Rob's signature guitar has the distinction of being the ugliest Jackson the Custom Shop ever produced. (lol, but true)
Typical dick "cop" comment!
There is nothing ugly about Robs Jacksons.
