A couple of these aren't smartphones at all. They're feature phones. The G450 and the Pantech were both feature phones, with the Pantech attempting to ape smartphone features. The 7280 is also not a smartphone. It wasn't running Nokia's SymbianOS. This list is also missing the HTC Status, which was another Facebook phone with a QWERTY keyboard and so little memory that if you installed three apps, the phone ceased to function as it had no space to offload processes and the OS would just repeatedly choke and die.
I remember my parents getting me a crappy Alcatel phone after pleading with them for months to get me a smartphone. It had a crappy camera, barely any storage, and it was super slow. I asked why I got the pos phone and they said "all you need it to do is call, text, and tell us where you are. You don't need any fancy features that cost hundreds of dollars more." Looking back, they were right
I had a Blackberry Storm when I was young and oh my god, that thing was awful. It had some software issues that was preventing it to charge the battery 9 times out of 10. I sent it to fix twice with no result and I decided to throw it in the bin after only 3 months of life. I also remembered when I first configured it, it took 5 minutes to get which the “ok” button was. I hated it very much😂
I wonder if what happened there happened because things were probably phoned in literally (they called all their vendors, parts and battery) and something got misunderstood about the battery and battery compartment size and a lot of the note7's had a flawed battery. If mobile device batteries are still difficult to dispose of properly now, imagine how it must have been for Samsung to do that on an industrial level with the bad batts, especially if the Batts were manufactured elsewhere.
Motorola Droid Turbo 2 was the worst phone I ever used. It was definitely durable and had a long battery, but it had excessive bloatwear that I could not remove and made the phone slow. I also could not use Google maps or the browser while on a phone call.
Number 1 should be the apple phone. It's terrible. They tried to make everyone believe that the apple phone was the first smartphone and then presented everyone with an awful device that keeps breaking and continues to do so to this day.
Palm Pre 2 the Yugo of smartphones, I had one and it charger cable fell apart in a few months and barely lasted til the end of the contract. I have used various Iphones since 5s, 7s, and Now SE2 all had no problems making it to the end of contract.
The worst phone I’ve ever had was the Motorola Droid my mom got me in 2013. The camera quality was terrible unless flashed was turned on, but it wasn’t as bad as the battery life. My phone would be in my pocket, and the battery would either be low or dead when I needed to use it.
I had the Garminfone and it was a great phone! For its time it was fast, had ample phone storage space. It wasn’t as customizable because it ran on half Garmin and half Android interface but I was in love with that phone! The down side was that Garmin bailed on it and that killed any updates for the phone which made it no longer compatible with the latest Android updates so the apps were no longer compatible.
I always go for Moto,,, the Moto One was my favorite phone when it first came out 3and a half years ago and ACouple Christmas ago the Moto one Ace with the Note pen was amazing.. now I'm about to buy the newest Nord 54 upgrade for$120
#10-2: "These are phones that were manufactured by this company, and here's how they were advertised. This is how they were received by the general public, and these are the reasons that they ultimately failed, perhaps along with some comments about how other companies beat them at their own game." #1: "This is a phone that sucked. Anyway, what are your experiences with phones???"
That's why I've gone so long and often without a laptop even though I'll buy one again soon. Smartphones really fill a void and you just can't be without one in 2023.
@@jimbo9208 that's a fair question. Sarcasm bc I've recently noticed ppl doing it and not understanding it. Boredom. But definitely not doing it for anyone else.

Exactly my thoughts
I fucking hate WatchMojo so much, even if this video was alright I couldn't endure it

But indeed,Alcatel was crao. But way to cheaper here where i live.Even so, in TI,the expensive(but fancy) tech always survive 😑
Exactly
...who edited this video? Clips and audio balance is all over the place
I quite liked the period when mobile phones tried to be fashion accessories with all sorts of weird shapes and button placements.
In 2006 I owned a ngage and I could say it wasnt that awkward of a phone. And THPS2 WAS EPIC IN CLASS!🔥🙌🏾
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! I once own a smartphone called Blackberry Torch. 🤣
Had a htc wildfire, was good for the first few months but it kept getting slower, had to delete pics and after a while it wouldn’t even turn on
I loved the N-gage.
I had hours of fun playing THPS, Tomb raider and pandemonium.
To be fair The storm was My first touch screen and I remember loving it I have like nostalgia for it maybe that's what it is lol

You should have gotten your money back. But I don't suppose there was a mb plan. You bought the phone, BB had your money... "bye bye come again." : )
Note 3. Such horrendous reception. While my previous phone the Note 2 had great reception. Just wild when you go backwards with a new iteration.
I had the Note 7. It was great, no issues at all. Too bad I was forced to trade it in. Just maybe, my phone was not affected by the flaw.
maybe but i felt bad for the people that did have issues
HTC Thunderbolt was the worst phone I ever owned. You could go from 100% to dead in about an hour of screen time.
I'm not sure it's fair. the note 7 was not a BAD phone per se, it just had a major design flaw.
Exactly and it is better than everything on this list so 2 place is absurd

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!
They weren't. They were smoking... and I don't mean tobacco.
One phone you may not be aware of that completely sucked was the fusion garage grid 4. The same jokers that made the even worse JooJoo tablet.
Number 1 should be the apple phone. It's terrible. They tried to make everyone believe that the apple phone was the first smartphone and then presented everyone with an awful device that keeps breaking and continues to do so to this day.

For me a terrible phone is, a phone with locked bootloader and no custom rom community.
I would say the IBM Simon should've made the list, only that wasn't technically a 'smart' phone.
Sony experia that could slide up to reveal a gamepad was terrible ,looked good at the time but was awful to control games on.
Never heard of #1 before now

The worst phone I have is right now, I can't read anything unless I have an app, the keyboard act up, but it work
#10 looks like a remote control for a billionaires 10 car garage.
It's just that I'm jealous. I'd like to have a ten car garage. There'd be a classic car behind each door.
5:13 🤦♂️ ok Mr business expert
LOL IT PRETTY MUCH EXPLODED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remembered playing the Ngage at GameStop, and thought it was hilarious

I always go for the best phone's even if they are very expensive, so no, I haven't had a bad phone
same always had a great phone, frist phone was Motoral razor had in red :3
The fact that the note 7 isn't #1 is surprising
Worst smartphone I ever owned was the HTC Touch. It was the reason I switched to blackberry
Most of them are from the early 2010s.
Apple iPhone will be joining this list soon
The first example was interesting.
My phone is not like that
Amazon's phone was not needed as much as Facebook First.
Which is one of the samsung that exploded on a plane
I like how #10 and #8 is not a smartphone….
Perfection for all Facebook moms 4:00
THESE SMARTPHONES ARE SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😅Wow, some of these phones really were disasters!🙈
Why did the Pantech got number 8 by just being "Meh" while in Nr. 10 & 9 he says much more bad things about them?
6. Don't worry, you can still call it "Twitter." We don't care what the Musk Rat says.
No palm pre?
Hands down the worst smart phone I have ever used was windows the camera was horrible their Store was a joke overall it was just bad
YIKES definitely all terrible 😬
I REMEMBER THE N GAGE!

Nope the Fleshlight.
@@StanHalen1936fire is not an invention 😅
I teally liked htc, but the worst phone I ever had was the Desire Z.
Verizons Samsung fascinate. That thing fucking sucked. A lot of us got screwed
What about the taco phone?
EVERY iPhone sucks. No phone should cost more than my rent
I had a very bad smartphone, it was from Apple, never used Apple again.
Some of the entries here are dumbphones.
smartphone like a portable gaming device that you can play almost anything on it
What’s a Facebook?
It's something that started off fresh, but turned rancid very quickly.
Htc evo 3d was EPICCC !
This toshiba phone looks awesome
I better see the Samsung Gem on here.
Motorola flipout? 🤔
Ofc I’d get triggered about HTC EVO
Was it the 3D part, or just the whole phone? I'm just curious.
