I was eating John bulls sixty years ago and scraps , the scraps were free to us kids then!
Scraps were always free when I was a kid, not the only place to do John Bulls. You should try Rish ‘n’ Chips in Rishton if you’re in the area again

I've never had one but I think I'd av had a splash of mushy peas on it,,, a splash of mushy peas and a good dowsing of hendos,,oooh lovely jubilee 👍

First John Bull I ever had was at the chippy at the bottom of Shorrock Lane, Mill Hill in about 1990, glad to see they are still going strong.
Holly tree tree chippy is/was (not been for years) great also.
I always liked Standins & Woodruffs in Mill Hill 🤔
Good chippy not sure if it’s the best in Blackburn plenty of good chippys here John bulls are excellent 👌
Try the one up shad, it's brilliant. The haggis is fantastic and they deliver locally😊
Not been to hollytree in ages. But defo one of best chippies around. Gotta go down there and get a john bull again some time.

I subscribed not to long ago and just want to say thank you 🙏 for what you’re doing it really helps someone like myself from San Diego California who is going to Ireland and the UK at the end of this year for the first time to know where to go to get good food I’m definitely going to the pizza place named Fouts in Belfast. Dude!! That pizza right there from what I viewed forget about it I’m there l. So keep it up Food review club thank you Sláinte ✌️

Hi Matt, is now been 2 years since the infamous chicken cottage review. Please can you go back to another chicken cottage branch to see if it can redeem itself. We need some of these standard bossman chicken/kebab shops and fast food spots mixed in from time to time as they produced some of the most memorable, funny and iconic FRC moments!
Im not saying every week but at least once every 2 months it would be good to see those places sprinkled into the mix.
That’s true, I’m now working with them on the new store roll out. Maintaining standards and being the best they can.

Should try ocean chippy in Blackburn, they have the best curry sauce ever , or go Blackpool and try lily's fish and chips honestly the best around

Just go downt road to Darwen and order a babies head in batter on a bap. (Steak pudding in batter deep fried served on a bread roll)
It looks like a Cornish Pasty, except with batter instead of pastry.

John bulls have been going a hell of a long time, I remember having them from bawdland chippy in clitheroe 40 years ago I think that chippy sadly closed a bit ago 👍👍

Ive tried em all and was born in Blackpool, and Kays is my go to no. 1 mate. Do you a deal - you go kays and i'll go anstruther to try your no. 1 out!!!

Well run chippy but pretty bland tasteless food sorry, their john bulls are about the only really good thing. Manxman chippy is now far better!! (their food actually has flavour)
