We appreciate the sentiment and its so true. I think these folks are the living embodiment of being kind and of service to one's communtiy and fellow man.
All teens should have to split at least 2 or 3 cord every year, even if you don't burn wood. Lots of life lessons to be learned while splitting and stacking wood. 😅
My daddy always taught us years ago, you always pay forward when you can, help without being asked and don’t you dare take a dime. It sure made us who we are today
Randle, I hope you are well my friend. I know what you mean about a wood fire. There is nothing better. I like the smell of wood smoke. It always takes me back home.
I knew of a man who cut the tops off fence posts around his yard for wood. I wasn't around him at the time, but men from church went and cut him some wood. Someone wondered why they had to when he had two teenage grandsons who could have. Sometimes it is little things people need help with; raking leaves, changing a light bulb, carrying out the trash, sweeping off the porch.
Little things do matter. Buster put it well in the video. So great to hear from you and thanks for sharing that story. Keep coming back. You are always welcome.
Thats a fascinating story. Its easy to get overwhelmed when there are so many needs in the world, but small acts of kindness can make a huge difference in a person's life.
Finding these folks was a surprise in a way. I had heard about the operation but had no idea how widespread there ability to help is. They are truely generous with their time and willingness to help others.
I live in far north California, and believe me, it's not the Bible belt. One day the people will humble themselves and repent. But it will never be like the south.
My Church and neighbors from S.E. Guilford County NC (Mt Hope Community) helped Me and my family out with wood when I was sick and couldn't cut wood to heat my house back in 2005. God Bless you all! Great Ministry
Beautiful areas up through there. Just met a fellow who moved this way from Tazewell near Burke's Garden so neat to visit with him and hear his stories from growing up there.
