I have used it since it came out now and i can confirm that the battery life is as good as when it was brand new. Amazing screen and battery life makes up for the lack of optical zoom for me. But the a51 might be worth getting because of the better fingerprint sensor and better camera. This is easely the best mid range phone for regular use. ( in my opinion)

I bought the Samsung Galaxy A50 in April, two time software updates has been released to the phone to correct some flaws. I must say that I'll use this phone for a very long time. It's a great phone for me. No complain!
Before I saw this video, I had spent over 3 hours trying to narrow down on a replacement phone. I had researched and cross-compared Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, S9, S9+, Note 8/9, and A50. None of the videos I watched on UA-cam gave me reviews from the perspective of a user. They just rattled the specs and left you to decide for yourself. Thanks for the review. I am an average phone user and I do not play games on my phone. Your review has helped to consolidate my earlier choice that it would be A50 or a mid range S series. When viewers watch product reviews - in this case, phones - they are looking for somebody who will tell them how a particular phone fits their level of use: low, medium, and high user. Most phone features are useless to the user yet they affect the price.

I think I can help you remove the black contrast....swipe down and reach the notification bar (that place where you change brightness and on your data connection),swipe to the left and enter the second notification bar,look for night mode and click on it
a lot of improvements of samsung after the old a series are sold now samsung comes with super amoled and infinity u display with fast charging usb type c and it has dual sim with expandable storage now im using my new a30 while watching this 😍
Great video man, try clearing the the cages memory in the hard reset menu, it should clear up the high contrast bug, also maybe there's a software update you skipped that will patch it up.
Besides the sound its bang for yr buck and honestly much more durable than chinese phones. If yr not into unnecessary features and u just want a great durable reliable phone samsung a series has never dissapointed. Fantastic review. Stay blessed.

Nice review, very well made. I noticed in a few videos of the front facing camera, where the audio seems more so on the right than the center but other than that no real issues show for me from what I've watched. I am thinking of buying it soon!

I would lean towards the iPhone 7 Plus if price is not a factor but the Cameras getting blurry over time is due to scratches on the lens protectors of the back cameras, they are glass now and would take longer to scratch. It's always best to keep phones away from objects like keys, and other things in the bag/have a separate space for it.
Hey fisayo, I'm really glad to see a Nigerian making such videos, I'm using the A50, and it's been great, but I have some questions that weren't addressed in the video, does the device support volte, is it water proof or resistant, how durable is the screen?
It's not waterproof/resistant, the back is a plastic build and is prone to scratches and the screen is less prone compared to it. About the VoLTE, I'm not too certain.
Never came across your channel before but for some reason it popped up in my feed so here goes, I've been looking at several phones recently and I think for me the xiaomi redmi Note 7 Pro seems to offer more value for money if nothing else because It's got that I R blaster of course there's 128 gigs internal memory I don't think the screen is AMOLED😔 but that's okay. One suggestion though When you mention the cost you should also mention it in US dollars since it makes it easier for international viewers to do the conversions in the heads or get a close enough approximate value to their own currencies
You did great, I have really not taken time to watch any Nigerian phone review because they major mainly on lower and phones like tecno and infinix, Few reactions, 1 Samsung calls the material for the new A series phones Glasstic not plastic, its a mixture of glass and plastic. 2 you really didn't say anything about connectivity network reception, this issue is a major factor for me, considering Nigerian networks e.g 4g, how good is the phone to our network. Does it support Glo 4g, bring your review home. Do a test on the Glo 4G and give us your verdict. Your video quality is ok clear and crisp. Keep it up.

I've used this phone for a month and I'd like to say that the previous phone that i owned (samsung galaxy a5 2017) was way better than the a50. The screen is outstanding on the a50 but overall i believe in the near future it's speed will decrease with upcoming updates, it's not ip certified which means it's neither water resistant nor dust proof and the camera has some cool features like slow motion and hyperlapse but in the end of the day it's not that great even compared to the a5 2017
