It's better than those pos handlebar brackets. The side mounts are not cheap but they are mandatory if you want strong hand guards that you never have to adjust.
It never dawned on me to attach to the back of the triple tree mount. I forced my aluminum guards in front of the triple mount. Helps hide the gray of the triple tree mount.

There was a lot of cussing and yelling that you did not see. lol This kit took me from 8 pm to 9am the next day to install. lol I had to search for bolts in the garage to install the tail bag. Also, I had no crimpers so I had to put those bullet connectors on the best way I could. Next time it will be much faster and easier. First time always sucks.
A 450 dirt bike with grippy supermoto tires would be quite a terrifying experience. I've watched a couple of videos of people riding plated CRF450R or X supermotos, and they said it scared them. It also must be quite a weird experience right now, having a powerful 450 just sitting in your garage for a bit until it's plated, and while it makes you anxiously wonder how will it turn out for you once you finally ride it. It's like being that eager kid who recently bought his game, but couldn't play it yet until his parents decided to go home so he can finally play it, lol.

From my experience with the Megabomb header on the wr250r, it's doesn't make that big of a difference to justify the price. I got some SIDI Crossfire 3 MX boots, I have not even had time to open the box yet!

I wanted to do it as a challenge and experience it for myself and share the experience on my channel. Same with owning a Ducati, which was a much better experience than I had anticipated.
You'll be moving the brake light switch to the bar master cylinder. It's gonna get smoked. Also, Fastway's hand guard mounts are a lot cleaner install. OEM WR headlight/mounts are gonna be less headache. Just add a LED bulb. I've plated both late model WR & FX's.

No BUT it has a wire so that you can add a front brake switch that you have to buy separately. However, you should always be in the habit of using both brakes on the street anyways.
You probably already know this but please be away when crashing in the dirt when you have hand guards because if your wrist slides threw the hand guards when you crash then you could more then easily break your wrist
How well do the integrated mirrors and signals hold up to impacts? I'd like to try em on my FE501, but my handguards take some pretty good tree impacts here in western washington.
What's a bike that can 1) Ride single track in the woods 2) Pass on the highway at 85mph and make 500mile daily trips 3) Run ON/OFF road 50,000+ miles with no overhaul and only basic maintenance.... oil changes, filters, chain/sprockets, tires 4) Carry a few days luggage 5) Buy like-new, mint, used for under $5,000 and under 3 years old with under 1,000 miles? I only know of the Suzuki DR650. That's why I have 2.
I think CC's plated YZ450FX would give the CRF450L a run for its money, and if Yamaha did do the same thing to compete against the CRF450L by factory plating a YZ450FX, he'd be laughing at it because 1.) He already has one, and 2.) The factory plated one will likely start out severely detuned to pass emissions, which CC may never had to derestrict his.

But 1 the work hes putting in , equates about to the same to unrestrict the bike, and pretty sure he can get more hp out the honda.. and resale value will be higher.. adjustments will be a bit more spaced out... And no trouble to install all the electronic switches ect..and its a big red honda :p
What’s the difference between the YZ450FX and the WR450F? I know the WR has lights and a different mapping but it seems like going that route could save some issues.

buy some dr scholls gel insoles. I have the crossfire 2 ta boots and the sidi insoles are paper thin.

I did a wr250f and had to do a sprocket mod due to the power and road buzz

Does the brake light light when you use the front brake? It looked like only the rear brake got the add on switch?
No BUT it has a wire so that you can add a front brake switch that you have to buy separately. However, you should always be in the habit of using both brakes on the street anyways.

CycleCruza yeah the bolts always hold up but the plastic breaks :(. I have a chunk of plastic with bolts in it lol. The plate it in my Backpack

If you’re getting spoked wheels I would highly advise not to go to tubeless. The Maintenance and possibility of failure/leaks is not worth it.
I'll try it, if it doesn't work out I can always put in a tube....

12 hour install and 5 hours of editing. lol
You probably already know this but please be away when crashing in the dirt when you have hand guards because if your wrist slides threw the hand guards when you crash then you could more then easily break your wrist
Did you have to install a new statue rectifier due to the fact the bike won't have enough power to run the lights ?
How well do the integrated mirrors and signals hold up to impacts? I'd like to try em on my FE501, but my handguards take some pretty good tree impacts here in western washington.

What's a bike that can 1) Ride single track in the woods 2) Pass on the highway at 85mph and make 500mile daily trips 3) Run ON/OFF road 50,000+ miles with no overhaul and only basic maintenance.... oil changes, filters, chain/sprockets, tires 4) Carry a few days luggage 5) Buy like-new, mint, used for under $5,000 and under 3 years old with under 1,000 miles? I only know of the Suzuki DR650. That's why I have 2.
You really need to get some side cuts to cut them zip ties...never seen someone use scissors.
Need a blade to cut them smooth so they don't make you bleed when you have to work on the bike.

I think CC's plated YZ450FX would give the CRF450L a run for its money, and if Yamaha did do the same thing to compete against the CRF450L by factory plating a YZ450FX, he'd be laughing at it because 1.) He already has one, and 2.) The factory plated one will likely start out severely detuned to pass emissions, which CC may never had to derestrict his.

But 1 the work hes putting in , equates about to the same to unrestrict the bike, and pretty sure he can get more hp out the honda.. and resale value will be higher.. adjustments will be a bit more spaced out... And no trouble to install all the electronic switches ect..and its a big red honda :p
What’s the difference between the YZ450FX and the WR450F? I know the WR has lights and a different mapping but it seems like going that route could save some issues.

I can't remember if you ever did a video on it but I just ordered a new lithium battery by SHORAI it's soppped to be better than the acid battery....it's lighter ,last longer being off a battery tender and has more cold crank amps
