The Kamaka family is incredible and produce the world’s best instruments. Fantastic interview Casey.
Beautiful interview Craig and Sarah! Thank you for doing.
Great interview with Casey Kamaka. Mahalo for sharing.
Great episode 🙏
My first purchase was a Kamaka tenor in summer 2017. It happened to be a 2016 100 Anniversary Model that The Ukulele Site had had returned from a dealer on the continent. Thus I ended up with a special one more or less by accident.
On one of my first visits to Oahu with my wife Ellen, she convinced me to purchase an ukulele. We went to Kamaka and got a tour from Fred. I decided to buy an Ohta San concert. Kamaka did not have one, but they sent me to Bob's Ukulele in the Pacific Beach Hotel as they had one left. I still treasure it today.
That’s a very nice ukulele. I played it one time and it felt different. Mine is the satin though I would prefer a gloss one. The low G is very responsive

Love this so much!
What strings were on the Jake Blue we heard Sarah playing? (It’s time to change my strings again.)
Sarah answering here - I believe they are the D'Addario Jake Shimabukuro Pro Arte strings he's been using for a long time.
