It's a miracle! Frank Turek puts aside his usual cluster and pat certainties and actually speaks cautiously about possibilities, except for that bit about the Saudis at the end.
It’s always a bit of a telling when apologists claim Muslim governments are hiding evidence of figures like Moses, Solomon etc…, when those figures are venerated prophets in Islam.
The Final Judgement is going to be like an episode of The Dating Game when YHWH, God, Allah finally reveals if He wants bachelor #1, bachelor #2, or bachelor #3?

It’s one thing to see some pics online of a carving of one cow along with claims of it being the alter of the golden calf and mindlessly repeat them. There’s plausible deniability there. But to physically travel there and look at it with your own eyes and see the multiple carvings of multiple different animals and still make those claims is literally just straight up lying. I thought the very Ten Commandments themselves had something to say about that

Even if the Israelites had been escaping Egypt, why would they have gone so far afield from their destination in the Holy Land _before_ God cursed them to wander the wilderness for 40 years? Is there an apologetic explanation for that?
He plays with a lot of wishy-washy words. I live in western Saudi Arabia and there are mountains that look like that and petroglyphs all over the region. Saudi is definitely trying to take steps to protect its historical landmarks. It’s not something they were particularly awesome at previously, but they’re trying to be better. This is a fun region to live in as I am right next to the Red Sea close to the dead Sea next to all these mountains that may be significant or not . . . The people that live here have a fascinating history. Granted it’s disputed to a great degree in many ways by many people with varying agendas and stories to tell.😊
Yes you can go there and on an official Saudi tour *SAUDI ARABIA TOURS* *Explore the ancient land of Midian, the Split Rock of Horeb, and Jabal al-Lawz - the real Mount Sinai*
“Jeroboam thought to himself, "The kingdom will now likely revert to the house of David. If these people go up to offer sacrifices at the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem, they will again give their allegiance to their lord, Rehoboam king of Judah. They will kill me and return to King Rehoboam." After seeking advice, the king made two golden calves. He said to the people, "It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Here are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt." One he set up in Bethel, and the other in Dan. And this thing became a sin; the people came to worship the one at Bethel and went as far as Dan to worship the other.” So let me take a shot and interpret this passage. The problem is that Luz (later Bethel) maintained independent practice to Asherah and El. We know this from later texts, the Jerusalem kingdom didn’t like this. If El is still practiced then Yahweh isn’t a high god, but a son god. El is the Bull, the son of the bull is the calf. While the northern kingdom still existed, Judea could nothing about this practice and it continued. Israel Finkelstein thinks that Jeroboam II was a powerful Israelite king, but there was no Jeroboam I. He managed to secure lands all the way to Aqaba. He probably also subdued Jerusalem. It is during his reign that the Kuntillet Ajrud inscriptions appear. But the reports of the northern kingdom seem to indicate there were conflicts with the god believers in the south, and thus these skirmishes in Kings appear to represent early skisms. Since Luz was close to the Judean bordered it was positioned between these two squabbling factions. Did Jeroboam make calves to offend the Judeans, where there a cult in Dan. These questions we cannot answer, but what we can say is there were multiple different Yahweh cults and in Bethel they preserved aspects of an older belief system that was abandoned in Judea. The fact that symbols of Asherah remained, even until the second temple period is testimony to the discussion in Jeremiah of the women blaming Yosiah’s reforms (impiety to Asherah) for the fall of the first kingdom. Thus the system whether or not it had golden calves or alters to ‘El is subordinate to the fact that it remained a cultic center to Asherah. Therefore I don’t so easily dismiss the golden calf idea, as we have seen the Bible takes a narrative in an older part of the Bible (1 kings) and inserts it into passages that were edited much later (Exodus) in order to make that practice look primitive using anachronistic insertions. We can compare the story of the man and his concubine from judges and compare it with the story of Sodom in Genesis. The story of Tamar in 2 Samuel 13 and compare it with Genesis 38, and so on. So it’s likely that 1 kings was the precedent. As we examine the Kuntillet Ajrud inscription, the scribe is referring to the YHWH of Samaria and his Asherah, another author refers to YHWH of the road south to Yemen. Still we have the cult of Bethel and that of the kingdom of Judea. Later developing was the Edomite god Qos. It should be considered that YHWH was not a unifying god like El, but a god prone to schism. The text in 1 king, even in its redacted state is reflecting the insecurity that having different versions of YHWH creates.
"It COULD completely validate the beliefs I desperately want to maintain because it keeps the paychecks flooding in!" You're right, Frank. It could.
