That’s so true, Randy. The Gottmann institute did research that shows that couples that stay together disagree on 69% of issues. They stay together because they are capable of agreeing to disagree. The issues that they agree on are the important ones, the rest they can live with. My husband and I have been together for nearly 26 years. We’re a straight, white, European couple with 3 young children. Our relationship started when I was 16 and he was 20 (16 is the age of consent in our country). Anyway, after all this time, we still disagree on the cleaning up when you cook. I prefer to finish cooking and then clean everything up, he thinks I should be cleaning up as I go along 😉, to which I’ll say that in that case, he can clean it all up. 😂 We’ll be celebrating our 26th anniversary in July.
