Fun fact: Early in development, Akira Irisa had a different surname, originally sharing it with a canon character: Marisa Kirisame. The reasoning for this was unknown, but it was replaced soon after as it would have conflicted with the canon.
PracTEM originally suggested that Akira be related to Marisa as a cousin, sharing the Kirisame surname. After Ricky clamped down on it, I came up with Irisa using Japanese words that meaningfully resonated with her character. So yeah, pretty much lol
