Gidday Sonnie, glad to see there are still a few squid around, I thought my chances were over now I might have another go. I was at the Pin last week and flogged the water to a froth and only managed four just undersize flatties but got a heap of tailor of all sizes on the Northern side of Crusoe. There must have been an acre of fish busting up with all sorts of birds in on it as well. Measured a big flathead lie at ninety cm but I’ve only caught undersize fish on the last three trips. Is anyone doing any good ? Brisbane river has been best for me lately, I got a 59.5 and a 66 cm flathead there a week ago. Cheers Sonnie always enjoy watching what you do.👍
@@mickthefisherman1562 hi mate, yeah the squids are still around last time I was out there. I was pretty surprised too. The water is definitely warming up which has brought mackerel and prelagics on the chew. I think it's best to target them now. Squid are always around in the bay but they move out to the sand hills/ Rous channel in the warmer months. I've been struggling at the pin too. No idea what's going on 🤣🤣🤷♂️
