    Thanks for the explanation. I am waiting for my first EB bill after Roof Top ongrid installation. So if anyone is consuming within 500 units, then net feed-in is profitable as they come in lower slab and for those above 500 units (less than 1000 Units) they would go to net higher slab and net metering is profitable due to unit to unit difference. Hope that summarizes it

      1. In both Net metering system and Net Feed in system, the calculation is reset on 31st March.
      2. In Net metering system, NO carry forward of excess units beyond March 31. If any excess accumulated units, then it will LAPSE/EXPIRE on 31St March.

They should ensure that all the readings are initiated to zero. Since I have suffered at the hands of TNEB i am sharing my experience.i asked the people to explain about the readings which they failed to do so. Two days After installation i found that the import was showing around 113 units. I took up the matter with the local AE. They didn't even entertain my request. Ni proper reply. Sir,
    I think your explanation is based on bi- monthly billing. My question is , whether we export the produce completely and import again for our requirement. OR we consume our produce first and the remaining units are only exported. In the second case the net metering charge will be less and this case is legitimate.
    Please clarify.

    • @DiwakarRajanOnline
      @DiwakarRajanOnline  2 місяці тому

      Whatever unit you produce will be exported to TNEB and whatever you consume will be taken as import on bi monthly bill. Every bi monthly eb bill your export and import units get tally with network charges. If there is excees usage you need to pay for excess unit. If you have remaining units it will be carried out for next bill cycle.

      Finally, I myself has identified why I got this extra amount from TNEB. This is due to TNEB net metering policy applicable for consumers after 2019. i.e. TNEB charges flat Rs. 2.50 per unit against the Excess unit exported. In my case, 90 units was exported excessively, so I got Rs.90 * 2.5 = 225 in my bill. This is not good for Solar consumers after investing on solar.

  • @JeyavelNatesan
    @JeyavelNatesan Рік тому +1

    We understood Network charges wrongly. i placed solar panel in my home and asked very detail about the Network charges how actually calculating in EB office. I given my panel capacity and calculations in below
    Solar PV capacity: 2140 Watts
    Daily unit per KW needs to generate compulsory per KW PV: 5.04
    Total production = PV Capacity * Per day KW
    2.14*5.04 = 10.7856
    Bi Monthly export unit= Total PV production * 60 days
    10.7856*60 = 647.136 unit
    Total Network charge = Bi Monthly export unit*Network charges(1.48)* subsidery
    647.136*1.48*20%=191.552256
    GST 18% = 34.47940608
    Total Network charges = 226.03166208
    This 226.03 amounts will be constant for every bi monthly bills(60days)
    FYI, Network charge increased to 1.48 per unit. In the EB office they explained above when i ask about the network charges.
    There is now concept of excess export unit network charge calculations.

    I just moved to a house for rent in which an on-grid solar panel is installed. I got a 1st-month EB bill yesterday & as per the EB meter, I consumed 680 Units & the CC charges in the bill mentioned is Rs.3470

    680 + 420= 1100 kWh.
    I must pay Rs. 3470 to TNEB as per bill
