Your handwriting is beautiful!! Which only mkes your reviews more pleasant to watch! Thanks for this handy comparison. I love FCs and love my SIG nib. Now contemplating a needlepoint to add to my collection and this video was very helpful to see the difference!
I treasure my Franklin Christoph Prototype 02 (one of a kind color that I just love) that was ground to their Sig Nib by Jim himself shortly before he passed away... Every time I write with it I remember that we lost a treasure in the FP community....
I just got a pocket 66 with a fine sig nib and its probably the best steel nib i own. I know this video is couple years old so FC and Audrey may have improved some but even on my fine I get a pretty good amount of line variations.
Thanks for this. I was planning on an F-C with Masuyama nib, but couldn't decide well between medium or broad cursive italic. From your video I see that my hunch to go with medium was definitely correct. I'm still surprised that nothing really compares to masuyama-tuned broad or medium. I would expect it's relatively easy for Jowo or Bock to bring out a nib with this profile. Obviously they wouldn't be tuned to his level of quality and detail, but it's still strange nothing like that exists. We either have broad / medium or we have a 1.1mm stub in most pens.
Gr8 review as always ! Could you list out the inks used for each writing sample. Also having used the different nibs and models of FC pens, which one is your favorite and why ?
@@drfountainpens1521 thank you so much for the reply! I have the OS Thoreau ink and will order some MB Irish Green right now! Suggestions on the mix? Half and half maybe? Again, it’s a spectacular color!
@@drfountainpens1521 fantastic! Thanks so much for the info, Dr. As I mentioned earlier, I ordered MB Irish Green immediately after reading your first reply. Can’t wait to get some “inksperiments” going on! Btw, love the videos, please keep them coming! Have a great evening, sir!
It is a huge advantage for an educated man to have balanced and consistent handwriting. It affords not just him but his readers some maybe old fashioned but real joy. I think yours is better than Stephen Brown’s or Chris’ or any pen reviewer’s, except maybe a calligrapher lady (another Indian I think, which tells us something interesting about our education system here in india a generation ago, I guess). However, as a pen reviewer your good hand is actually a disadvantage for us poor knowledge-seekers. It remains spectacularly unaffected by any nib/ink/pen design that you use, and it leaves me impressed but not wiser. 🥺 However, I am not so coarse as to blame you, lol. I watch your videos to enjoy your hand basically. And having said that, I plan to see your next video after more daily practice on my own lamented hand 🤚. Thanks!
😭😂 I started using fountain pens around five years ago, but I didn't really practice my handwriting, so it isn't anything to write home about.... His handwriting is very legible. ❤️
If you're asking generally, people who like fountain pens prefer to use them as much as possible, to write anything from shopping lists, to diaries, to work related writing. If you're asking the Doctor personally, I apologise!
You really need to work on your audio quality and sound levels. Very difficult to hear. External microphones are cheap now. No excuse for not having one.
I just have to say your handwriting is beautiful! And I have just scrolled down further and I'm not the only admirer...
For some reason, I absolutely love your handwriting.
Thanks :)
Thank you Doctor for the excellent demonstration, love the colours of the various inks shown!

Straightforward and accurate review. Excellent source of important information. Profoundly appreciated.

Envious of your acquisition and the privilege to use a nib grinded by late Jim Rouse. 👍🏻😍
Lovely penmanship ❤
Thank you for this video.. I like your review and your handwriting too😎
Great review. Really helped me decide on which FC nib to go for. Thanks a lot.
Very good comparison. Why did you stop making new videos? Last time was 1 year ago.
I like ur handwriting
Thanks for this extremely useful comparison.

What is the 1st and 4th ink ?
Your video is really helping me to select my nxt fc nib.... Thanks

Hi
The red is Sailor Yodaki
Dark blue is Sailor Yonaga
And the other blue is Sailor Souten. AFAIR :D
Very useful demonstration.
Great video! Thanks!
Hello Dr. what ink was used for the FC model 19 writing sample? It’s simple breathtaking!!
Hi. Finally found it!
It's a mixup of OS Henry Thoreau and Montblanc Irish Green
@@drfountainpens1521 thank you so much for the reply! I have the OS Thoreau ink and will order some MB Irish Green right now! Suggestions on the mix? Half and half maybe? Again, it’s a spectacular color!
@@ShadowHawk357 oh that I don't remember. But yes I do start with 50:50. You can use and glass nib and try increasing concentrations of Montblanc

Great review Dr.! I am smitten by the Franklin Christoph pens....are there any dealers in India? Thanks
No. It's from their site only. Delivery is quick though
@@drfountainpens1521 thank you very much indeed for replying..... What about the customs?
Thank you for the beautiful review! 😍👍🏻
I like all the nibs and all the colours! Fantastic....and what paper???!!! Best Regards
It's TR 68 GSM
Superb review with very detailed information on each nib variant. If I may ask, what do you write with these amazing pens?
If you're asking generally, people who like fountain pens prefer to use them as much as possible, to write anything from shopping lists, to diaries, to work related writing.
If you're asking the Doctor personally, I apologise!
Haha. As a fountain pen fanatic, I do the same like you mentioned. I wanted to know what the doctor is writing...
Nice review and excellent choices
What kind of notebook/ paper is this?
It's an Endless recorder. Tomoe river paper. 68gsm
What is the red ink used in the Model 20 medium stub?
It's Sailor Yodaki
May I ask what ink is used in the written sample with model 19?
Sorry for delay!
Found out scribbled somewhere. It's Organic Studio Henry Thoreau mixed with Montblanc Irish Green
How can I buy these pens? Can you give me any link?

You have taken nib reviews to the next level
Hi, how did you order these in India?
Through the official FC website
That is not a needlepoint, it is an EF.
