Because the Drivetrain consumes the power from the engine has to transfer the power to the prop shaft then to the rear differential and transfering the power 90° to the rear wheel, so by changing the engine layout from rear wheels to the front wheel drive it helps to increase the fuel economy and power significantly 👌👍
Innova was a hit because it was a rear wheel drive car.. When a loaded vehicle is driven on a hilly area rear wheel drive car performs the best... Innova lost that advantage.. I am not seeing any point in purchasing this new costly Innova.. Now it's no better than Tata safari or Xuv 700..

When the car is going uphill, its weight is getting transferred to the rear wheel.. front wheel looses its grip and rear wheels get the grip. If rear wheel is driven then car is going to move effortlessly. Otherwise it will struggle.

At same speed and highway usage, Crysta Petrol gives 13 - 14 Km/L and this gives 17 - 18 , that too hybrid version..... I guess this makes me happy Crysta 2700 cc petrol engine owner :)

Realistic highway speed is around 100 to 110 kmph... At a constant 80 to 90 kmph a lot of regular petrol and diesel cars will give a similar mileage
