@@laurahudson8210 I used two cups water, one LMNT packet and one T beef gelatin. Sprinkle gelatin over around 1/2 c water and let it soften. Heat the rest of the water, doesn't need to boil but must warm enough to melt the gelatin. Add the hot water to the softened gelatin and sprinkle in the LMNT. I put it into silicon cupcake liners, but could have put into a loaf pan and then cut into cubes. My purpose was to get my eletrolytes in other than in sparking water, just changing it up. It isn't colorful or sweet like the bears but I prefer it. Experiment with the amount of gelatin...these were pretty bouncy! I was thinking less and it would be more like jello.
This looks great! Thanks for this recipe. I can't wait to try it. While watching, a couple ideas occurred to me. First, you may want to use a dry strainer to sift the powdered acacia gum and gelatin into the liquid. It makes it much easier to get even thin coverage with fewer clumps. Second, only fill the flexible measuring cups half full for pouring into the molds. A full cup is much harder to pour precisely into the mold. Just refill the cup to the halfway point as many times as necessary. Thanks again!
Thank you for the dry strainer to sprinkle the gum and gelatin, also a half of cup trying to fill the bears. My first time and these hints were very helpful. 💕
I sure hope I can make these! After watching this video I realized my molds are too small. Returning them and ordered the cute little bear molds in the video. I bought. 2 molds for $35ish. I accidentally ordered 2 pkgs of Arabic gum, bought the same beef gelatin as on the video. Got the potassium sorbets. Liquid stevia and 2 more packages of redmond re-lyte powder! I don't dare add up all them dollars. 😆 I draw the line at food coloring! Anyone else go completely overboard with this recipe? I'm obsessed and haven't even made one batch!
Gummies are my favorite candy and I have never been able to recreate any good ones in the past 4 years on keto. You are right that it's all about the texture. That is always the thing that lets me down with the typical gelatin recipes. I'm really excited to try this recipe. I need gummies back in my life!
I miss something like gummy bears to pop into my mouth every now and then to change the taste besides mints which are HARD to find without carbs in them! These gummy bears will be PERFECT!!! Thank you for sharing this with us and showing us the "how-to" of making them! I LOVE watching you make recipes!
@@moondancedude I tried several versions and couldn't come close to the texture I wanted. I gave up, but always planned on trying again. They weren't bad, just nothing like store-bought cinnamon bears. Maybe it's time to drag everything back out of the cabinet and give it another shot. I can say that LorAnn cinnamon oil seem to be the best flavoring. Let me know if you hit on the perfect recipe/process. Good Luck!
Size matters 😂 So excited for these, my hubby is not keto but tries for sugar free whenever possible and he's very much into candy like this rather than chocolate like me!
So excited to make these! Thanks so much! All other recipes I have tried are just too much like slightly harder jello, was definitely lacking that chewy texture. Thanks so much! ❤
Thanks for the video and for creating this recipe! The only hard thing for me is buying all these bags of products that then just sit in my pantry and take years to get through assuming they don't go bad. Then I get crazy looks when people are like "what's this huge bag of powder for?" "Oh that's for making gummies" Of course I'm sure I can find other uses but you know what I mean. I wish I could buy a "gummy bear kit" that had all the ingredients but just enough to make these 2-3 times and that's it.
Those look fantastic! good job! Might be worth noting that the protein in the gelatin is not a complete protein so some would say not to include that in your total protein for the day. gelatin is still super beneficial for you though and these look great!
Rachel, Joe good video as always. I finally subscribed to Keto Chow and can't wait for my first box to come. I can't believe how satisfying those shakes are. Dying to try new recipes 😋 yummy, yummy. 😂 Much Love 😘
Made a test batch last night. Molds come this week. Waiting for them to dry a bit before resting! Can't wait to try them today after lunch. Recipe is "so easy Rachel can make it," but I did scratch my head a bit when my stuff was not as gelatinous after waiting over 20 min. 🤷♀️ seems okay
Half the ingredients you listed on the package are just fine. I get you have an issue with the carbs, but don't go looking for issues where there are none
The fiber in most packaged "keto friendly" gummies should not be deducted. Your body will use it at least partially and it does affect weight loss and ketosis
Beautiful job guys! I'm still working on a "swedish fish" texture, which truly should not be so elusive, but I am rather picky about that specific texture. I will get there, and I cannot wait 🤸♀️🎈 These look so fun!
*Love all those lil' guys standing at attention~ awesome! ** Oh, and flavor-wise for the "gummies" I've made so far (various recipes, w/yours being next =) my favorites are Orange Crush sucralose drops w/vanilla stevia drops~ think creamsicle, oh Yum! This recipe is just what I’ve been looking for!! It is delish! I am craving licorice - any thoughts on a good extract or other way to get that true licorice flavor? I did try incorporating black licorice keto chow and that worked pretty well with black gel coloring and a wee bit of anise, taste was pretty good, but not true licorice. Thanks for all the time and explanation you put into your recipes!! ♥️🎉 chocolate cherry is another flavor profile I want to try…LMNT choc salt and perfect keto black cherry electrolytes maybe? 😊🥳
I wonder if you could use that grape to make PB&J KC. Definitely trying this recipe. Thanks guys! Yea pretty much going to chow down on the whole bag 🤣😂
This sounds like such a fun thing to make! Thank you so much for the recipe! You guys never disappoint! Do you think it would be ok to use water enhancer, like Mia, to flavor them, too?
I have the sample pack from element I know it's not spelled right I'm driving I'm using voice to text. As soon as the other ingredients come from Amazon and I'm going to try this bad boy out
I tried this recipe. I used Mio and the suggested sweetner as per the recipe. I was so excited to have keto gummies but this recipe let me down especially since I spent a small fortune on getting everything the creators suggested. The bears are currently standing up in the fridge (day 2). The texture is meh, hardly taste the flavor nor sweetness. Just taste like flavorless weak rubber😂. So I'll make another batch, instead of 4 tablespoons of the gum, I'll try 6. I separated the mixture into 3 batches for variety. I'll add 2 squirts of mio instead of 1, and add more sweetner to taste. As they stand now, they are nothing like gummies except for the shape. Shame. Guess I have enough of the expensive ingredients to keep practicing until it's perfect🤞
Did you try this with Keto Chow? I love the sucralose rather than the granular sweetner in the Keto Chow one, but I do love some of the Keto Chow flavors.
How would Agar work in place of the beef gelatin? My man-friend won't eat beef anything because of Prions. Thanks for the recipe!! I'm ordering all the ingredients tonight
My Redmond's scoop is really small. It looked like the amount you put it was more than one of my scoops, but it is hard to say based on video. Did you use 1 of the little scoops? Is there a weight in grams? What if you are using a brand like Key Nutrients Electrolytes...same thing? Love this recipe! Thanks for keeping Keto interesting.
I tried your recipe, the only different ingredient I used was the Now brand of gelatin (as it was cheaper). I used 5 TBSP of the acacia gum. My mixture didn’t get as gelatinous as yours even after waiting 30 mins. I was thinking of adding more gelatin but didn’t. I mixed all the other ingredients as you had and poured it in the molds. After waiting 1 hour in the refrigerator it came out in pieces (like you mentioned in your video) so I let it sit overnight. The next morning it came out the same as waiting 1 hour. Do you think it was the Now gelatin? Do you think I should of added more gelatin? BUT, They tasted great.
I used the Now brand and it worked well. Something doesn't seem right. Are you using 6 tablespoons of gelatin? (63 grams). Are you using warm or cold water. It should be cold, or at least no warmer than room temp
Out of curiosity... have you tried any of the mio squeeze flavors? I'm notnloving the salt in the lmnt...I'd be nervous to make gummies with them and not love them...
@@2krazyketos haha! I didn't wait to comment! I saw your later comments! I need cherry or wild xherry... think Swedish fish ❤️ hard to believe you dont taste the salt... it is sooo strong to me!
I made some gummy chews using just LMNT Citrus salt, water, & beef gelatin. Good enough for me and easy peasy.

Made them with ACV. Very good texture! May need to play with the sweetness. I think I'll roll them in sucralose. 😀
