this track is so good so much emotion when she finds out he is a montague it gives so much expression to the scene . Romeo & juliet is one of the greatest movies brings me chills everytime
Everytime I'm feeling depressed this is one of many songs that seems to be a lot of help. Either to bring me out of my funk or cry my eyes out. It all depends on the situation.
This, along with the eerie cue that plays after Mercucio's speech of dreams, is easily one of the most haunting, amazing cues of the entire score. So tragic, so foreboding, and so amazing. The strings are utterly divine. And heartbreaking. I cannot help but think this is how parts of Nomura's original vision for Final Fantasy Versus XIII would have sounded, along with all the variations of Somnus, the main theme. The world was ROBBED. Robbed, I tell you.
I remembered in Romeo and Juliet, Juliet was more upset that Romeo was being exiled to Mantua than Tybalt's Death. In West Side Story, Maria was upset because Tony murdered her brother, but she forgave him knowing that he didn't mean to do so but to try stop the fight. This track in my opinion shows more about an atonement, the sin that Romeo caused which he didn't mean to do.
This song is cut in thirds it seems. Some parts are heard while he’s watching Juliet as they leave the party, a few moments of it right after he kills Tybalt, and then at the end as he reunites momentarily with Juliet. It’s a lovely piece.
First they played it when Romeo asked: “is she a Capulet?!” Perfect scene in a perfect movie. Another perfect and haunting scene for me was when Romeo fell into the water under the balcony and said : “adieu” to Julia. I will never forget these two. Went to cinema every week to watch this film when it came out. Memories
The music in this movie is absolutely epic. I was mid teens when this came out. I still, at 40, find myself coming back to these songs.

The strings in this track are exquisite 😌 so beautifully arranged.
One of my all time favorite movies
I believe the Montages keep the peace of Verona. The Capulets are the ones that instigate all these fights.
