Thank you. I shall be doing a variety of real time, double speed, and triple speed videos, depending on the video length and content etc. Whatever I choose to do some people love it, some people don't. It's just how it is with UA-cam. I have got a new real time channel coming soon... :-)

We had hired a boat from willow wren at rugby between 18th and 22nd of February, I knew I’d seen your boat moored somewhere on that oxford/ gu section🙂. We moored at the bottom of the Napton flight on the 19th. The weather was pretty extraordinary for feb in those few days. We enjoy your videos, and look forward to following your journey.

natalie jones we are looking at hiring a narrow boat for early April as I thought the peacefulness would be more romantic than our usual wedding anniversary getaway. This video has totally sold it to me.

Thank you. I haven't gone all that far. But I am struggling to keep up with making all the videos... They are very time consuming to produce.

@@NarrowboatJourneys Hey Phil, I'm only teasing :) I understand you can be cruising or working on the vlogs... and I know uploading can be an issue. Hopefully, your new data contract will help. You need to get the cats on the editing while your cruising :)

Loved the Benny Hill moment at triple speed with the pair of walkers and whilst not all boater are alcoholics I can see why the demise of a pub would also impact on the neighbouring mooring. I did my narrowboat training around Wigrams Turn so thanks for the refresher but may I suggest that triple speed makes you look a little like 'white narrowboat man' - enjoying your travels and your vlogs, big thumbs up

You had that couple dead in your sights for ages as you were going around the bend. Why didn't you open fire? 😉

I don't remember, that's an old one now, but I'm sure there was a good reason?

Delightful soporific little jaunt and you managed to slip under the radar for a change so well done. Any chance of a few notes of Charlie Chaplin music when following canal walkers at double/treble speed down the towpath, - just a thought !

Thanks for another great video. Sorry to see another pub closing down. There'll be none left at this rate. I'm lucky enough to have three pubs in our little village but then I do live in Ireland although even here they're closing down at a fierce rate. They're a great place for older people who might be living alone to have a chance to socialise and beat the loneliness. I remember a couple of years back an old gent who always called in every day for a quart and a wee chat didn't show. A couple of the regulars took a walk up to his house and discovered he'd fallen getting out of the shower and couldn't get up. If it hadn't been for his local pub I don't expect he would have survived. Anyway, a few weeks in hospital, with regular visits from all his old pub friends, and he was back on his feet and taking his regular stroll down to Finucane's for a pint or two. Be a great shame to lose such a great cultural tradition for the UK and Ireland.

I like seeing you letting the cats out at the end of each video.
I was watching another UA-cam video channel & the boaters were saying in the summer they stay in the marina & don't go out on the canals as they said that they don't like the canals when they are busy & prefer to cruise in the Spring, Autumn & Winter, due the quieter times on the canal.
I agree with them, I live in the countryside of North Hampshire & I don't like going to cities like London, too many people, high crime rates, noise & pollution.
    All the best.

Thank you. I prefer the quiet and peaceful times of year as well. I don't tend to stop in towns or cities.

Peaceful cruise apart from striking peak hour when wanting to moor. Winter still evident, any signs of the approach of spring?

Lovely as always. Almost makes it worthwhile being a gongoozler (though I still dream of that big lottery win ;-) ).

Confused by your comment that because the pub is closed there is no point in mooring! Not all boaters are sad alcoholics........ 😁

Well, there's nothing else there and it's quite close to a busy road. It didn't appeal to me.
