2:42 is when he says it. Theo just hates Chelsea so it’s expected of him to say fake facts about them. And on top of that he’s got the brain of an avocado
I think the Arsenal fanbase are the only fanbase that get called deluded for predicting that they’ll do something next season that they nearly did the previous season
All of our signings are said to be rubbish until 6 months later everyone suddenly rates them. Another 6 months goes by and everyone mysteriously forgets that Arteta/Edu have actually done great business in the past window and continue to label them as clueless.
What people are failing to see is that Arteta is going to play 3ATB (3 CBs) and therefore play with 2 DMs (Lavia/Rice) and 2 10s (Odegaard + Havertz) [as the box midfield] along with Martinelli, Saka and Jesus. When needed he can pivot to the 4 at the back with Zinchenko/Tierney and White/Tomiyasu on the respective as fullbacks. Going in for Timber, who is also versatile to play RB/RCB means he can play in both setups. Arsenal need rotation and strength in defence as we saw when Saliba got injured last season, that we need support in CB who are top quality, and having more than 1 formation we can play ensures that we can play in different ways. Havertz also provides good heading ability in front of goal, if we need to play differently and start putting balls in the box. Arteta has always said that he says each year as a progression in playing style, and he'll continue to change things as soon as he has the personnel.
Havertz to Arsenal is definitely an interesting transfer. Havertz has been pretty average the last 2 seasons, but I think it's important to keep in mind that this is probably due to the fact that he's been playing out of position at Centre Forward for quite some time. He made his name back in the Bundesliga playing more as a number 10, behind or with the striker. But also Chelsea have been in shambles ever since they were bought by Todd Boehly and that probably also affected his game. I think in a new environment, with a young coach like Arteta and surrounded by other young and hungry players, I think we can see Havertz bounce back. We'll have to see.
Havertz can be fine as a cf, but both wingers who play with him need to be goalscorers. Like how firmino was with mane and salah either side. As it stands, he has sterling, who doesnt a) always play, b) clinical, and the other winger changes depending on what side of the bed the manager gets up on saturday morning. Maybe with martinelli and saka, he'll have more joy. Jesus and trossard are good fits for bench options.
I feel like this is a similar case to Jorginho transfer, he could fit at Arsenal with their style of play much better than Chelsea...but it's still not the player you really want to be buying. Same with Havertz, yes his abilities makes him very versatile in a system that has alot of movement and can cover for Martinelli, Saka, Jesus, Odegaard anytime you need him to...but he's still not the one you'd really buy for Arsenal either. I think ultimately this has more to do with his aerial threat, Pep spent 2 years without a striker and small technical players but kept getting knocked out of competitions for a lack of plan B which would be a big striker threat in the middle, in comes Haaland and they win everything with that extra option. Havertz isn't a big striker type but if it's 70 minutes, quick change of game plan and get a headed goal he could do a job for Arsenal, however even for that the price is steep.
This might be the smartest comment made abt Havertz, but by this logic, he is gonna be a rotation player. 60+ million for a squad player it kinda a waste when you can get cheaper alternatives who can provide the same job as a Havertz
@@delalilatzoo5078 Absolutely, it's why I said he's still not really the one you'd buy for Arsenal especially when the price is steep. The only way I think you make it "worth it" for 60m with him as a rotation player is that you continually rotate him through Martinelli, Saka and Odegaard's positions every game to give them a break every 3 games, then use him as a difference maker up top for Jesus at 70 minutes if need be.
I don’t understand why Arsenal would want Havertz? 65m is a lot of money for someone who’s looked awful in the PL. I also don’t understand where he start for Arsenal? He isn’t getting in the front four positions. He can’t play deep (which is where Arsenal need players) if Rice and Lavia come. So 65m for a rotational player at best is mental. Surely spend that money on an all out striker who will try bag 15-20 a season.

He is not suited for the crossing system that we play as he is isolated in the box with game being played on side most times He is good playing behind a striker We signed lukaku who for 2 touches a game and offered nothing Havertz would be suited for a team like Madrid with all players involved and linking up and supporting each other Chelsea are all over the place as a team can't single out individuals

You guys are judging him as a striker signing when he’s more likely to rotate at left 8 with Rice and he can give us a different way of playing by using him on the right when Saka needs replacing. He offers so much more versatility and we really need a tall player with Xhaka leaving the tallest in our “front 5” Odegaard at 5”10. So if all else fails it gives Ramsdale something to aim for. Nobody at Chelsea did well, not even mount. Havertz can only play as a 10 or an 8, particularly on the left hand side. In Chelsea, he almost never played that at all and was used as a 9. He is not a striker at all, as a result, this affected his stats and is now considered a bad player. When a player is put in the wrong position, system and goes through more than one change of head coaches, they're not gonna perform well at all. No Chelsea player, has done well at all last season. When I watch Havertz with Germany, I see a completely different player. He is also only 24, he has a shot now to actually play in his favourite position, have freedom and actually enjoy playing football again. I think Arteta knows exactly the power of Havertz, when he is playing in the right system, position and has the right players around him without a toxic environment like Chelsea.
Kai needs a better system and you know he shows up to big games. Chelsea have been a shitshow too so it's hard to judge. I think he's playing next to Jesus
