Please add as a benefit, the barakaat from Allah for increasing and strengthening the population of Muslims, and spreading da'wah. Increasing the brain pool and resources help further the development of Muslim lands, while at the same time, helping to increase the faith. You will often find that Muslims from the West are intentionally more observative of the religion than the native populations. Your being there sends a powerful message to the native population, helping to support the faith, and is da'wah. Of course, it is reciprocal because you are also supported in your faith. In the US you are surrounded by fitna and always at war defending your faith with little support. Muslims helping other Muslims with their practice of faith, sharing of skills, and injection of resources is a good investment.
My Allah grant the brother tawfeeq but these points sound like they're from someone who never deeply engaged with the community more than on a surface level. The 'muslim countries' are not just economically poor but islamically utopian lands -Aside from specific neighborhoods (and holding a foreign citizenship/not integrating), you will have a hard time maintaining a beard, amongst other islamic rituals. you will constantly be stopped by police, harassed by your boss to shave, etc. Not to say you wont see many brothers with beards and sisters with niqabs, but ask them and they will have stories, often times worse than what you hear in non-muslim countries -Bosses will not necessarily grant you time to pray -Boyfriends/girlfriends are still a thing, school system is not a mini al azhar or madinah uni -You WILL need to explain yourself for islamic concepts if they're not part of the local culture, such as not shaking women's hands especially if they're distant family, which is normal to do in egyptian culture. I find it very hard to believe that the brother in the video lived in Egypt for a substantial amount of time.
May Allah grant you tawfeeq Akhi. I will answer to this very briefly. I have lived in Egypt for 20 years and worked in non islamic environments while there. I have never been denied time or place to pray even when working with christians. Yes some will ask to trim the beard in the past was way worse. yes the sins you mention exist but no way near the extent in the west where young girls get pregnant in school. Ive worked teaching in the west and in Egypt so have lived both,. I integrate actually very few foreign expats know me and i go out with Egyptian friends regularly. This is my experience maybe yours is different. This is not to start a back and fourth but to clarify May Allah bless you
@@boususu Thank you brother. The idea that in Egypt you are denied time to pray is just laughable. Sadly our brother above is suffering from the fruits of lengthy western indoctrination that portray everything in the Muslim world as less than or negative or barbaric. Note where he uses the term 'poor' to bash Muslim countries. The Prophet PBUH and the Sahaba did not exist in abundant material comfort - they were poor. As Muslims whether a country or society is poor is not a factor that determines good character or piety.
I can talk about both Muslim country life and western life as I have lived in both places. Life in Muslim country is much better than western country for families and for Muslims in general. Yes money is not flowing like water but barakah in that money makes it go long way. Yes, there are issues but life is still better in general regarding practicing Islam. You can come up with any excuse you want but what Allah said is the final word. You don't need a citizenship, just live there and die there. That's enough. Your children will benefit as well and would learn the islamic ways and etiquettes. I am trying to move back since the first year I moved here. May Allah make it easy for us. Ameen
