I love listening to the sheikh, he brings a certain Britishness to Islam and showcases that Islam can really be for Europeans as well as its a universal message.

"Let us pass in tactful silence over the present day rulers of Islam"...diplomacy in real time, dear Sheikh!

I quite understand the idea of honoring one's parents and guarantee them safe, conforting and reassuring surroundings for his/her old days. Yet, and with all due respect to Sheikh Murad, I would like to emphasize that some elders may not wish to live in the same household as their children and grand children, especially elders who used to be very active, intellectually and in many other aspects of their life, prior to loose their or part or their autonomy. In my opinion, living with teenagers and/or young children and sometimes toddlers, and their parents, when you're 75-80-85 years old with, for example, earing sensitivity, to name only that kind of impairment, and in need of quietness and tranquillity, is not likely to make an elder feeling good and safe and ''at peace'' during his/her remaining years on Earth... Life is not what it used to be 100 years ago and before that... when grand children used to live with the same values and in the same ways their grandparents, and ancestors, had lived... In my opinion (and with the way of living I'm used to), spending your old days in a respectable care home with good-hearted staff, and having your children and grand-children to visit you regularly and make sure you're well taken care is, by far, the best way to live ''what's left of your life'' on Earth.

TOO MUCH BACKGROUND NOISE -appears to be emanating from the audience. If this estimation is correct then the audience is very disrespectful indeed.

      Why?
We are muslims. We shouldn't be offloading our elderly in those kinds of places. They should live out their days surrounded by family at home.

Yes, in Islam - just as parents took care of you in your infancy - your turn comes as Allah says when your parents grow old - the 2nd infancy
