Wow your cannas are lovely! Have you collected any viable seeds from the "cleopatra" variety? I've been trying for 2 years. Peace N Love

Hi there and thank you for your comment. We planted up one specimen last year then split it in the spring to get two plants. They did flower well in a bed of mixed cannas so the chance of pollination would have been good but I don't remember having a single viable seed from them!

It's a good question. I have been trying to collect canna seeds, but very few of the varieties I have in the garden have produced viable seed. Mostly, I find they are sterile. Regarding cleopatra, if it did produce seed, I doubt very much that it would grow true to the parent plant. I hope this answer helps, Simon

Olá Bruno, é estéril, então não há sementes como muitos híbridos de canna. Mas mesmo que pudesse produzir sementes não apresentaria esta fantástica folhagem bicolor. Ótima pergunta, Simão
