Gleemer is an alternative noise pop quartet that gets its inspiration from a time when Rock was in constant radio rotation. Gargantuan dreamy riffs form the foundation of their brooding late 90's sound while contemplative, forthright lyricism adds a more inspirational edge.
Recorded on March 16, 2018 in Chicago, IL.

Every part of the drummer's body is in time. Head movements, mouth, blinking, everything. All in time. Next level, my man. Full respect.
Looks like Jake Gyllenhaal's little brother too. Homie is killin' it
Gleemer was my Counterstrike handle for many many years, after an old Guided by Voices song, so when I saw this I had to click it. And it's everything I hoped it would be. Sometimes the universe just works.
I love GBV. Bee Thousand will always be my favorite of theirs. It's their gold standard but it's not called a classic for nothing lol
Bring these guys back in for a 2nd session!

@@2px_ me too!! I just love that song, but they don't seem to play it live..
Do they play light out live? Amazing song
Thanks Vanessa's dad🤙🏽🔥
i just like looking at the drummer's wide range of expression
he look like Jared Leto tho

"Gleemer's Cymbals on Audiotree Live"
hahaha yeah they're really dark but manage to cut through the mix so easily. i don't hate it though
Those cymbals really stole the show!
Deane Lawton lol
Honestly the whole kit kinda cuts through a bit much.
They are a bit much, though my guess is that this isn't by design... recording rock drummers + quiet vocalists = shit loads of bleed in the vocal mic... probably also why his vocals are a bit low
Saw these guys open for Turnover last summer and fell in love.
can we all appreciate the bassists absolute fire scratch plate
That metallic gold is something else. But I'm more diggin his rig. That old Peavey setup is nice ...
Oh my fucking god, when Lily kicked in, I literally headbanged so hard that I pulled my neck. These guys are becoming my next favorite band, their last two albums are on constant rotation for me nowadays.
I AM ALLLLLL ABOUT THIS DRUMMER! You go man!
He's a good drummer but his cymbals really don't work for this kind of music.
they do in a live scenario. probably should have just taped em up a bit more for the audiotree
Those Istanbuls are actually pretty nice except for the hi-hats. He'd be better off with Meinl Byzance Darks or some Zildjian K's.
James C I actually love the hi hats, I think that crash ride bleeds a little too much if anything on this video.
Julian Boyd a bit loud, I do dig those hi hats though.
This is the best recorded audio tree session ever
Yeah, definitely a very well done recording. It sounds like they are right in the room.
Vein
💯 True that!!!!
Gleemer are the best parts of every alternative music genre pieced together to form one giant sonic mind fuck
just saw them last night and i can't stop crying
April Valle just got into this band do you know the name of the opening song in this set ?
gauze!
why?
I discovered these guys two days ago when they opened for Movements, but damn I enjoyed seeing them more than seeing Movements. Great band!
Love the rickenbacker!
i hope they tour se asia so i can finally cry to their music live
Hopefully
hah, live shows... i miss ;_;
Looking for artists similar to Turnover and Superheaven and luckily stumbled on these guys. Really digging their sound.
If you like dream pop and shoegaze youll love DIIV theyre my favorite band. You probably already know them lol.
Also From Indian Lakes is great there two most recent albums. Balance and composure their latest album. Nothing, all of their discography (very much shoegaze). Teenage Wrist (my fav so perfect) I have more but im blank rn lol
I remember finding these guys shortly after Moving Away came out. Champ will forever be my favorite song by them. Can't believe I'm just seeing this session now.
So unbelievably happy these guys did an Audio Tree. I’ve been in love with this band for a few years. Keep up the awesome work both Gleemer and Audio Tree
My good friend Glernt Brimstine on guitar!
Love these guys! Saw them open for Movements and instantly fell in love with them. Definitely my new favorite band.
Drummer's lit
Saw these guys open for Movements.... instantly obsessed!
saw them live a couple weekends ago... the show got cut short by fire marshals cos we surpassed the max occupancy, so these guys where the only ones that got to play their entire set. yet, i feel the night was well-worth it even just with them. vibey
Life's simple, I see an audiotree session come up in my suggested videos and I watch it. Always hearing great bands for the first time on here 😍

Happened onto this band after hearing a track during the Ways Away stream on May 16th. Instantly found them on band camp... it's a bit of a slow grow but the more I listen... the more I love it. Their songs sort of just get stuck in your head. Happy I streamed a "concert" during this pandemic and I'm so happy Audio Tree does these recording sessions. Check out "Racquet Club" on here. Love those dudes. Long live Gleemer. Excited to check out the new record.
Gleemer is the result of Hum and Chapterhouse having a baby. These guys are super clean
I'm glad you mentioned Chapterhouse
@@creekandseminole I'm glad he mentioned Hum (sitting here wearing a Hum t-shirt).
Loving that they’re finally getting some attention.
So good!
4 years on from finding out about these guys and still can’t believe they haven’t blown up yet. Incredible
This is the best thing on earth ever.
have you ever mowed a lawn and then just stand and stare... with your hands on your hips ..and just admire it? Thank me later.
BuckNasty LMFAO. And just ADMIIIIIIIRE IT.
it must be hard as hell to mix for them
This guys drums and cymbals sound so great. I may get one of those huge Istanbul crashes.
Love this band.
Great band! This guys are awesome! Cheers from Brazil!
They are just too good.
God where can I find one of these gorgeous strats...? That pickguard looks lovely
Hope you come back to NC soon
Anybody live here anymore? Just found these guys, do they play anymore? Tour? Anything? Help, I need an adult
Gleemer = Love
Who in the hell gave these guys a thumbs down? Gleemer is fucking awesome! Constant rotation!
please get Movements in here
Luis Zamora-Tokosh thank you
So underrated I love them
The next band from Other People Records to come out on audiotree should be Modern Color!
Modern color is amazing saw them in the beginning of the year
I hope they have another audiotree live session with the new album after corona
This is so good
When your listening to HUM albums for the millionth time on Spotify and it takes you to Gauze. Holy shit this band is great.
so modern shoegaze , love you guys
about damned time!
This whole set is fucking brilliant.
11:13 Old school shoegaze sonic frenzy! Freakin can't get enough Gleemer.
This makes me v happy
My Favorite band, the energy on all music is surreal, big love Gleemer ♥
My boysssss!!

That Rickenbacker is beautiful

Dear Sleeping Boy Collective, can we please bring them in Manila?
Oh yes please
amooo!!! brazilll!!!!!!
Hey Coffman, it's Kaufman here. We are brothers from another mother. Love your music. ❤️
Love the waveform shout out!
I want that pink sparkly pickguard WTF!
That’s such a pretty strat
I don’t know why but the moment of acknowledgement with eye contact at 5:25 starting with the drummer then to the bassist and ending with the vocalist just gets me every time I watch this video
Very nicely worded. Agreed.
que sonoridade!!!! rapazzzzzZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!
drummer is killin
also hell yeah they shouted out modern drummer podcast
This is pretty awesome stuff omg
cool sound! this is great!
Band is tight af!!
despite the drums being loud
it was nice getting a drum solo for 31 minutes
these guys are fucking phenomenal
Amazing band!
so proud of gleemer, but turn the vocals up damn
gotta say, pretty thicc tones for a rickenbacker. not saying it's CRAZY T H I C C, but i mean compared to other rickenbacker uses (guy from fugazi, the beatles, chase from joyce manor to name a few), this is pretty thick
I love you Audiotree
gleemer!
Corey!!! ilove
Jake Gyllenhaal stole the show again
In my opinion, it's not that the drums cut through too much, I just think rhythm guitar needs to be a bit louder and bass guitar should be way louder, I can barely here it.
SING THAT SHIT MAN
the freshest band ever i s2g
very good! BRASIL!!!
Guitar tone is too good on this!
Is it me or does the lead singer sound exactly like Jason Segel when he talks?
I required video evidence that this wasn't Jon Foreman's side gig
Ive watched this 743 times
Strange guys, good music!
Yo! McLovin on lead guitar!
love ❤️🇧🇷
Ive been trying to nail the lead guitar tone. is it some chorus mixed with some subtle flanger?
Alfian Banjaransari I was wondering the same thing. Sounds like a mix of chorus, light flanger and the oh so glorious holy grail.
Do a new one!
please make some tabs!
❤
I didn't realize at first but some comments have pointed out some real issues with the way this one is mixed. love audiotree but this one could have been just a little better !
🔥🔥
Afinan con el capo :0
YEP!
Great music! How old are these guys?
Copulaxoxi Ranbooi mid 40’s
Alex Stanilla 40s??!! They look about mid 20s
its so nice to see Jake Gyllenhaal trying new things like playing drums
