@@mcartsan you’re welcome! The rugs are a little finicky because they try to sink into the floor. Best way I found was to be careful when aiming at the connection squares where ladders spawn. Hopefully it’ll be a little easier since you’re using empty habs!
@@mcartsan yes, you have to place them by hand instead of in build mode. If you’re on xbox, it’s long press A to pick them up, and then the triggers rotate them. Click the left joystick to change the axis of rotation. (Sorry I don’t know the corresponding PC keys) Once you have them placed, quick save and reload the quick save, exit your ship, and then fast travel to another planetary tile. I’ve only ever done this while my ship is landed, so I don’t know if it would work the same if you’re docked at a spacestation. Edit, just want to add this is the process I use when decorating with any “junk” items in my ship, using build mode or placing by hand. Will you do me a favor and let me know if this works for you? It has done for me, every time, but I hesitate to claim publicly that I’ve found the solution to the sinking items. I tried so many different combinations before I found one that has worked consistently. It’s a slightly different process if you’re decorating at your outpost. 😅

Thanks for the tutorials! I did my first empty hab decorate and was having a hard time getting rugs to lay. I’ll have to try again!
