Thank you for your condolences on the passing of my Dad, Jon Dickey, into his heavenly home.
He loved Oklahoma Gardening!Trees were a special favorite of his to paint/draw, so this was a very appropriate episode.
Blessings to you all at Oklahoma Gardening.

Yep. That’s the pear tree in my CA backyard. It’s beautiful once a year, then a mess & a pain to look after. It’s way too big for where it was planted & it seems like it might be a hazard in a few more years. The constant saplings are enough to make me scream. I believe someone 30 yrs ago planted it on purpose! It’s only real benefit is helping my Japanese pear tree pollinate so we get a good crop of fruit. I didn’t know it was invasive & posing such a threat to ecosystems in different parts of the country, but knowing it like I do, I’m not surprised!

At the 09:10 mark, where is that nature location Casey's in? Those are thick trees--didn't know we had these in Oklahoma!
